The Staff Nurse Educator is responsible for providing educational support, developing in-service and educational programs, assisting in competence evaluation, and promoting the individual development of staff nurses.
This position is part of the Massachusetts Nurses Association Bargaining Unit at Cooley Dickinson Hospital.
The Staff Nurse Educator reports to the Nurse Director and operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school required; Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required
Two (2) years experience as a Registered Nurse in an inpatient setting and two (2) years teaching experience required
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both in writing and in presentations required
Current American Heart Association BLS certification required
