Talent Acquisition Director

RA Capital Management is looking for a dynamic, results-oriented Talent Acquisition Director. This role will work closely with the HRBP, Chief People Officer, and key stakeholders across RA Capital as a strategic thought partner in all areas of attracting and recruiting talent. This role will be responsible oversight and execution of campus recruiting to senior level recruiting. In this role, you will have an opportunity to shape the Talent Acquisition function through best practices and ensuring consistency in our hiring. This is an opportunity for someone who can be a strong thought partner and thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role will report into the Chief People Officer of RA Capital.

Duties/Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Build relationships across the firm with key stakeholders and function leaders to build an understanding of the needs of each team (beyond just headcounts, focusing on skills and specialized knowledge).
  • Work with CPO and HRBP with different team leaders to determine recruiting strategy and headcount needs to attract and hire candidates.
  • Assist teams with creating job descriptions, interview teams and review process for each hire, generating and executing on recruiting plan.
  • Proactively and independently target, engage and recruit candidates for all levels of the organization, including working closely with our TechAtlas, Equity, and Venture teams and internal functions to create a network and pipeline of candidates.
  • Manage relationships with outside recruiting firms for specialized roles when necessary.
  • Proactively source and screen potential candidates.
  • Ensure networking and follow up, building a long-term pipeline, especially with senior level roles that may be needed in the future.
  • Track and provide reporting on KPIs for a best-in-class talent acquisition function and candidate experience.
  • Stay abreast of industry shifts and trends in talent acquisition, including competitive analysis and employment law.

  • Strong degree of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality is a must.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (Greenhouse, Paycor).


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • A minimum of 7 years of end-to-end talent acquisition experience
  • Prior experience in financial services and/or life sciences industries is required. Experience at the intersection of both and/or in technical recruiting (including high tech and AI roles) is a plus.
