Our client is a fast-growing, full-service Certified Public Accounting & Business Advisory Firm. We are seeking a Tax Manager-Estates and Trust to join their Fiduciary Tax Department. This department helps clients navigate the myriad of tax laws and regulations that govern Trust and Estates, ensuring that they stay in compliance, while implementing strategies to significantly reduce their tax liability. When necessary or requested, they provide fiduciaries with a complete and accurate trust accounting tailored to the needs of that client. Engagements range from simple trust return compliance to helping fiduciary clients navigate the entire trust/estate process from A to Z. Opportunities to experience other client tax situations will be available including individual tax, planning and compliance for closely-held business in a variety of industries, tax compliance for Private Foundations and tax research.

Experience, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong client service focus – responsive and attentive to client questions, concerns, and inquiries
- Knowledge of trust accounting concepts, including the proper allocation of principal and income generally defined in state law
- Experience preparing/reviewing fiduciary tax returns (Form 1041)
- Experience preparing/reviewing Split Interest Trust returns (Form 5227) is a plus
- Experience preparing/reviewing Private Foundation returns (Form 990-PF) is a plus
- Individual Tax experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to quality standards
- Ability to manage time effectively to meet tax due dates
- Team player – enjoy working independently while also being part of the team
- Supervisory and training experience and capacity to work well in a team environment
- Strong written and oral communication skills with clients and Firm members
- Research skills, including interpretation of laws and regulations and how to apply them in client situations and fact patterns
- Ability to work well with other client trusted advisors, such as attorneys and financial advisors
- Strategic planning for clients and potential clients
- Tax compliance software
- Tax research database and planning tools
- Microsoft Office products and Adobe Acrobat
