  • 2 of the most recent 4 years’ experience as an Ophthalmic Tech


Licensure/Registration/Certification

One of the following

  • Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) by the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology
  • Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) by the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology


Provides professional medical and administrative assistance for eye physicians in a clinical setting. Performs ophthalmic duties and exams. Maintains equipment and supplies. Trains technicians and assists in the management and coordination of daily operations to ensure an efficient patient flow. Performs special testing as requested by the physician.
