Tech Private Equity VP/Principal

A LMM first time fund located in the greater San Francisco area that operates within the Tech/Software industry and focuses on buyout investing is looking to add on a VP/Principal level individual to their lean but growing deal team. This person would be expected to participate in all parts of the deal process and be open to wearing many hats due to the early stage nature of building out the firm. This would be a partner track role with the chance for the candidate selected to truly come in and put their stamp on the firm's trajectory going forward. Responsibilities:

  • Deal sourcing
  • Deal execution
  • Portfolio management
  • Assist in fund raising efforts
  • Help develop & mentor the junior team
  • Appropriately delegate task off to others on the team
  • Collaborate effectively with other senior team members on day to day responsibilities and long term strategy of the firm


Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university (MBA is a plus but not required)
  • 5+ years of investing experience (ideally 7+ total in finance)
  • A strong understanding of the Tech/Software market
  • Experience participating in all parts of the deal process including working with legal
  • A desire to live and work in the SF region
