Technical Sales Engineer
General Description
- Developing sales contacts and researching customer needs
- Guiding potential customers to products or services that fulfill their needs
- Developing internal cost estimates and evaluating potential suppliers
- Drafting technical and commercial proposals for submittal to customers
- Participating in commercial negotiations with customers
- Providing process engineering support to product development teams
- Performing computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and process modeling
- Performing process design calculations, including mass and energy balances
- Participates in development of new products, modification of existing products, and termination of ineffective products
- Participates in sales forecasting and planning
- Develops sales materials, articles, and presentations
- Communicating in a cooperative and professional manner with all levels of staff and customers
