Test Technician

JOB PURPOSE:

At

H3X is looking to hire an experienced Test Technician who will assist in the testing of prototype electric drive systems and facilitate product performance validation. Candidates should be experienced with testing procedures and data collection. This role will be a key part of the core engineering team and will have a direct impact on the trajectory of the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Setup, execute, and teardown dynamometer and environmental tests for motor drive systems
  • Execute test profiles according to written test procedures
  • Interpret live data, monitor for abnormalities, and make decisions during testing accordingly
  • Maintain testing equipment when necessary
  • Process and store data appropriately

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent  
  • 2+ years of hands-on mechanical assembly and testing experience
  • Proficiency in comprehending data and identifying abnormalities in datasets
  • Ability to troubleshoot and debug test equipment
  • Ability to understand test equipment assembly steps from CAD models and work instructions
  • Ability to follow safety procedures closely and identify safety issues
  • High intelligence, high energy, and high integrity
  • Excellent written and verbal communication to effectively share knowledge and build the collective mindshare of the company
  • Organized and obsessive attention to detail: no room for oversight when designing flight-critical systems
  • Humble and open-minded: willingness to accept feedback and learn, consistently improve upon yourself and the product for which you will be responsible

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with testing dynamometers
  • Experience working with high voltage test systems
  • Experience with technical assembly work including fastening, component fabrication, wiring harness assembly, etc.
  • Associate’s or technical trade degree
  • Experience with testing DO-160G / MIL-810G / or other environmental specifications

PAY: $22-34/hour USD
