As a Barclays Trade Specialist, you will manage and process Letters of Credit activities (Export, Import, SBLC), Bank Guarantee and Indemnity. This is an opportunity to work within a team dedicated to providing effective Trade Finance solutions to Group Clients and serve as the single point of contact for all Trade related queries. You will ensure compliance to Sanctions, AML, Reg W, Anti-Boycott, and in-dustry regulations that governs the Letter of Credit and BGI products.

What will you be doing?

• Providing efficient and high-quality assistance in processing disbursements, payments, collec-tions and monitoring in respect of the varied bespoke Trade Finance solutions
• Processing Export Letter of Credit Advice activities such as payment, liquidation, assignment, ELC bankers' acceptance, transfer, silent confirmation and commitment to pay
• Handling a payment claim of reimbursement settlement and processing payment as instructed
• Processing amendment and change activity, past due transaction for unpaid principal and ac-crued interest for funded products
• Scanning documents related to transaction and drawdown requests which comes via post (Ship-ping documents, etc.)
• Processing Inward/Outward BGI activities such as Issuance, advise, payment, credit rejection, assignment, transfer, cancellation, expiry, claims and amendments
• Performing Compliance Due Diligence review (i.e., sanction screening, AML/Anti-Boycott/Reg W) on LC transactions prior to execution and delivery
  
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Five or more years’ experience working in a similar role with a commodity trade finance bank to work with a team of Trade Finance specialists providing BGI/ELC and SBLC support
• Competence of Export/Import Letter of Credit and BGI issuance, confirmation, and advise to include wording/language for these product set
• Ability to work independently, handle high volume of transactions, flexible, accountable and can articulate the LC process and requirements to business partners and internal counterparts
• Knowledge of Sanctions, OFAC, AML, Anti-Boycott regulations, and Letter of Credit/BGI Indus-try standards UCP600, ISP98, URDG, etc., for the various trade products

• Knowledge of Trade 360 highly preferred
• Competence of SWIFT MT7XX series message types
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and a Team player
