Transportation Engineering Intern - LA, OC, San Bernadino or San Diego location

GTS, a specialized transportation engineering and planning firm, is hiring a Transportation Engineering Intern for the summer and fall of 2024, working approximately 20 hours per week. The Transportation Engineering Intern will assist with transportation studies and designs across Southern California.

Where will you be:

You will work remotely from home most of the time. Please note if you want to be in an office most days, this internship is not the right role for you.

You will be:

Currently enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate program in Civil/Transportation Engineering as a Junior OR senior year status or new graduate!

Superior writing and communication skills; comfortable using Microsoft Word and Excel

Willing to travel to job sites as needed in Southern California

Comfortable with remote collaboration and meeting tools

Knowledge of AutoCAD and field data collection is a plus

What does the internship look like:

You will support the design of geometric plans and traffic signals

Participate in site visits and measurements

Analyze existing transportation plans to identify and reconcile projects and goals

Support in-person and virtual project meetings, including draft agendas and meeting minutes

This opportunity runs through the summer and fall of 2024, and there may be opportunities for continued work after the project ends. Join us as a team member!
