Our Client is a well-established national provider of non-asset-based transportation services. They are seeking a Truck Brokerage Branch Manager to grow and lead their own sales and operating office for a new location. This is a hands-on role that involves personal sales activities as well as sales/operations management and leadership. Some key responsibilities include sourcing for new business in the intermodal, truck brokerage, and project space.
Responsibilities:
Manage a team of strong multi-modal operators and sales people to grow the business.
Develop strong service offerings that will drive customer growth, satisfaction and profitability.
Ensure all administrative requirements are managed in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Effectively communicate and support the network to ensure excellent customer experience and overall growth.
Collaborate with sales representatives to come up with the best approaches for quoting a customer or handling a project, move, or problem.
Ensure that the pricing and purchasing discipline is developed and exercised.
Develop and monitor sales, margins, and profit projections/results/trends closely.
Communicate with management and staff on needs, strategies, and critical information.
Salary: $125k-$150k
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Business, Transportation, Logistics, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years' of experience within the transportation industry, preferably on the non-asset side.
Strong sales and sales training/leadership/management skills.
Excellent customer service and in interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work well under high pressure.
Ability to work flexible hours and travel as required.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
Excellent communication skills.
