What You Likely Need To Do The Job Well
Underwriting Experience: Have a solid background in insurance underwriting, particularly in renewable energy or related fields. Experience with natural catastrophe underwriting and natcat software is a plus.
Critical Thinking: Ability to quickly synthesize large volumes of information, develop a clear thesis, and articulate proposals with supporting data.
Operational Capability: Willingness to get hands-on and take action in a startup environment.
Self-Starter: Capable of independently leading and managing projects, knowing when to seek help while trusting your analytical frameworks.
Thinker and Doer: Able to consider multiple stakeholders' perspectives, devise solutions, and rapidly build consensus.
Relationship Management: Experience working with brokers and fostering mutually beneficial relationships to build a strong book of business.
Travel: Open to traveling to meet with brokers, carriers, renewable industry leaders, stakeholders, and your virtual team.
