We are seeking an entrepreneurial insurance leader to join our Renewable Energy Property Insurance division as an Underwriter. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing underwriting standards for renewable energy clients. What You Likely Need To Do The Job Well

  • Underwriting Experience: Have a solid background in insurance underwriting, particularly in renewable energy or related fields. Experience with natural catastrophe underwriting and natcat software is a plus.
  • Critical Thinking: Ability to quickly synthesize large volumes of information, develop a clear thesis, and articulate proposals with supporting data.
  • Operational Capability: Willingness to get hands-on and take action in a startup environment.
  • Self-Starter: Capable of independently leading and managing projects, knowing when to seek help while trusting your analytical frameworks.
  • Thinker and Doer: Able to consider multiple stakeholders' perspectives, devise solutions, and rapidly build consensus.
  • Relationship Management: Experience working with brokers and fostering mutually beneficial relationships to build a strong book of business.
  • Travel: Open to traveling to meet with brokers, carriers, renewable industry leaders, stakeholders, and your virtual team.
