Underwriting Coordinator

Responsibilities

  • Run, review, and file program data on a monthly basis.
  • Compile information as requested by Underwriting Managers or Chief Underwriting Officer.
  • Manage department project tracker and collaborate with Underwriting Managers to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Schedule and coordinate department meetings and events.
  • Record, type, and distribute detailed meeting minutes in a timely manner.
  • Build strong relationships with the Underwriting Managers and foster open communication.
  • Maintain confidentiality of matters discussed among the management team.
  • Serve as a department point of contact internally and externally.
  • Organize volunteer opportunities for the department and company.
  • Learn new software as needed.
  • Pursue educational opportunities through McNeil and Company and Arch Insurance.
  • May perform additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • An associate degree or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Prior project management experience appreciated.
  • Proficient knowledge of computers in a windows-based environment required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Solid time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion.
  • Meet expectations for attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to comply with accepted practices and guidelines.

For individuals assigned or hired to work in California, Colorado, Hawaii, Jersey City, NJ; New York State; and/or Washington State, the base salary range is listed below. This range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.

$45,000 - $51,000/year

  • Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above range may be modified in the future
