The Vice President – Client Services is responsible for the management and oversight of strategic client relationships while fostering a culture across our Client Services teams that is client-focused and results-oriented.


The Vice President – Client Services will oversee and coordinate the marketing, business development, and proposal departments to communicate NEI’s brand, mission, and core values across our existing clients while positioning NEI and services as an innovative, results-oriented business partner. The Vice President – Client Services will be a mentor and coach across various teams within their department to develop internal employees professionally.


Salary Range: $200,000 - $250,000 / year

The salary range above is based upon the Denver, Colorado labor market.


This opportunity is available to both local / in-office (Lakewood, CO) and full-time remote candidates.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Develops, deploys, updates strategy and best practices while holding others accountable across NEI’s Client Services department.
  • Identifies and develops new opportunities across industries and business segments.
  • Adept at fostering new relationships while maintaining existing relationships across current and prospective clients.
  • Works closely with the marketing department to design and create relevant marketing materials highlighting NEI’s professional services across industries.
  • Develops and tracks quarterly and annual sales goals in tandem with executive leadership.
  • Creates, manages, and interprets sales financial reporting to provide insight to NEI’s sales pipeline and assist with future forecasting.
  • Manages and supports all team members across the Client Services department, including the Marketing, Business Development, and Proposals.
  • Collaborates across departments and engineering disciplines with Technical Directors and Team Leads to ensure exceptional quality and accuracy on proposals, and other relevant materials.
  • Acts as a mentor to facilitate internal team members’ professional development and growth.
  • Manages and coordinates activities of internal Client Services teams to submit proposals in a timely manner.
  • Partners with the Operations department to review customer specifications and assists in formulating and communicating the commercial strategy to best address our customer needs.
  • Develops and maintains outstanding company-client relationships.
  • Maintains high ethical and professional standards.


Must Have

  • Experience: At least 8 years of professional experience in a business development or sales-related role is required.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, construction management, or equivalent is required. Advanced degree in business, marketing, engineering, project management or construction management is a plus. May consider an applicable mix of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with electrical substations, transmission lines, medium voltage collection and distribution, PV engineering, and battery storage required.
  • Strong knowledge of project financial accounting.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and relationship management skills including the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships, irrespective of background and personality type.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain calm and effective exchanges by all parties during stressful situations.
  • Superior communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Track record of client success.
  • Excellent organizational skills demonstrated by clear and effective project plans and executive-level reporting that ensures timely action and decision-making in time-pressured scenarios.
  • Must be self-motivated, well-organized, and a skilled decision-maker who is comfortable in a fast-paced design environment.
  • Strong proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM software.
  • A strong written and verbal command of the English language.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.


Working Conditions

Work Environment: Work is performed in an office setting and some field work may be required

Travel: Typical: 10 – 15%

Physical Activities: Must be able to lift 25lbs.

Managerial Responsibility: Team Member is responsible for the management and oversight of a department of Directors and Managers managing multiple teams, and the review of financial statements, team utilization, and forecasting, and employee professional development and growth.
