Virtual Operations Director

Overview

The Virtual Operations Director role is responsible for all telehealth practice operations including strategy implementation and execution, policy / playbook adherence of the CD’s and clinicians, as well as successful P&L management such that the practice meets or exceeds its budgeted goals. This key leadership position leads a team of CD’s and clinicians who drive optimal patient outcomes, financial metrics and employee engagement. They leverage the DD & CD playbooks to achieve these goals but given the varying nature and consistent change of the virtual practice, this role requires creative and agile leadership that skillfully navigates ambiguity. The role partners closely with cross-functional stakeholders such as AMT, HR, Finance, Compliance, Credentialing, Payor Relations, RCM, Clinical Operations and the Virtual Product Development Team. They serve as a primary point of contact for corporate and field leadership to facilitate improved access and care delivery through utilization of services provided. In addition, this role is responsible for the Telerehab Clinic Directors and Virtual Patient Coordinator performance, development & hiring decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver on established core operational behavior foundation: Execute DD/CD playbook behavior adoption: Playbook, PMT, CLR, POC, Scheduling & outlier execution to drive/exceed P&L performance. Executing & implementing strategy and policies.
  • Achieve/exceed budgeted EBITDA plan. Plan ahead to pull P&L levers needed to drive performance (VFD, CC, Labor management, optimize staffing needs, PTO planning). Identifies and proposes solutions to complex business problems. Drives budget and forecasting process across the virtual practice.
  • Grow & scale the virtual practice. Display agility to adapt to the market. Work with cross-functional partners (AMT, HR, Finance, RCM, Payer, Virtual Product Development Team). Develop new processes as needed and effectively execute change management.
  • Implement an Engagement Strategy to develop, engage, recruit, and retain a top performing workforce by providing direction, coaching, development, engagement, and performance management. Develops and inspires Telerehab Clinic Directors to be effective clinical and people leaders. Responsible for labor management of the Telerehab practice.


Qualifications

Minimum Education

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited four-year college


Preferred:

  • Master’s degree from accredited four-year college
  • Doctorate degree from accredited four-year college


Minimum Experience

Required:

  • Minimum 7 years prior leadership experience as a multi-site clinic or large volume clinic director or multi-unit leader in operations or healthcare


Preferred:

  • 1 or more years with District Director level (or equivalent) experience in operations
  • Cross-departmental collaboration, exposure & work experience.


Knowledge Skills And Abilities

  • Advanced evaluation/treatment skills
  • Demonstrated performance related to leadership skills and capabilities.
  • Professional presence – with peers, managers, and internal/external stakeholders
  • Proficient in ATI’s application suite (e.g., EMR, Caseloads, Touchstone, Scheduler)
  • Demonstrated performance in communication skills up, down and across the management chain.
  • Ability to effectively manage a remote workforce.
  • Experience in effectively leading others through change/ effective change management skills
  • Proficient in basic technology such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and reviewing reports and metrics.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing and executing strategy, policy, and operationalizing change.
  • Knowledge and or ability to familiarize self with credentialing and state practice acts related to Tele Rehab.


Licenses and Certifications

Required:

  • Licensed Physical/Occupational Therapists: Bachelor, Masters or Doctorate degree from an accredited institution.
