Position Overview: We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Virtual Travel Event Coordinator to join our team at GlobeTrek Consulting. As a Virtual Travel Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing virtual travel events that showcase destinations, cultures, and experiences from around the globe. This position requires strong project management skills, a flair for creativity, and a passion for delivering exceptional virtual experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Event Planning: Plan and coordinate virtual travel events, including themed cultural nights, destination showcases, travel workshops, and virtual tours, from conception to execution
  • Content Development: Develop engaging and informative content for virtual travel events, including presentations, videos, interactive activities, and virtual tours, that capture the essence of each destination or theme
  • Speaker and Vendor Coordination: Identify and liaise with speakers, presenters, and vendors to secure their participation in virtual travel events, and coordinate logistics such as scheduling, content preparation, and technical requirements
  • Promotion and Marketing: Work closely with the marketing team to promote virtual travel events through various channels, including social media, email campaigns, and website updates, to drive participation and engagement
  • Participant Engagement: Engage with participants before, during, and after virtual travel events to ensure a positive and interactive experience, answer questions, facilitate discussions, and gather feedback for future improvement
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and assistance to participants and speakers during virtual travel events, including troubleshooting technical issues, managing virtual platforms, and ensuring smooth operation of virtual sessions
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for virtual travel events, monitor expenses, and ensure that events are delivered within budgetary constraints
  • Evaluation and Reporting: Collect feedback from participants and stakeholders, evaluate the success of virtual travel events based on predefined metrics, and prepare reports summarizing key findings and recommendations for future events
  • Stay Informed: Stay updated on emerging trends in virtual events, online travel experiences, and technology tools to enhance the quality and effectiveness of virtual travel events

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in event planning, preferably in the travel or hospitality industry
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, organize, and execute virtual events from start to finish
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, external partners, and participants
  • Creativity and innovation in developing engaging content and virtual experiences that resonate with participants
  • Technical proficiency in virtual event platforms, video conferencing tools, and multimedia content creation
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for travel and cultural exploration, with a desire to inspire others to discover the world through virtual experiences
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate virtual event schedules
