We are currently seeking candidates for a VP of Finance & Accounting position located in New York, NY 10104. The VP of Finance & Accounting will oversee all accounting functions and financial reporting for the company. This role requires strong technical accounting skills, multi-currency expertise, and a thorough understanding of cash flow management and billing processes. All candidates considered MUST HAVE relevant manufacturing industry experience.
This is a full-time permanent position that will pay $260K on a base salary plus a discretionary bonus.

We are currently seeking candidates for a VP of Finance & Accounting position located in New York, NY 10104. The VP of Finance & Accounting will oversee all accounting functions and financial reporting for the company. This role requires strong technical accounting skills, multi-currency expertise, and a thorough understanding of cash flow management and billing processes. All candidates considered MUST HAVE relevant manufacturing industry experience.

Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and present financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to senior management.
- Implement and manage the Accounting ERP system to streamline accounting processes
- Ensure compliance with multi-currency accounting standards and manage foreign exchange transactions.
- Conduct technical accounting research and provide guidance on complex accounting issues.
- Monitor and analyze cash flow, working capital, and billing processes to optimize financial performance.
- Coordinate and manage the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors as needed.
- Develop and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA (highly preferred)
- Minimum of 10+ years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a Controller role.
- Strong experience implementing and managing accounting policies and procedures.
- Expertise in multi-currency accounting and foreign exchange management.
- Solid technical accounting background, including knowledge of GAAP and IFRS.
- Proficiency with Accounting ERP systems
