We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and proactive individual to fill the role of Permanent Operations Executive/General Manager in our thriving Construction company. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, innovative team where your expertise will be utilized to manage the operations of our commercial drywall construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, leadership, team building, contract negotiation, and budgeting. This role requires at least 5 years of experience in a similar position.

Responsibilities

As the Operations Executive/General Manager, your responsibilities will include

• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the commercial drywall construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Leading and managing a team of construction professionals, fostering a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Negotiating contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients, ensuring that all agreements are fair, transparent, and beneficial for all parties involved.
• Developing and managing project budgets, monitoring expenditures, and implementing cost-saving measures where necessary.
• Implementing and maintaining operational policies and procedures, ensuring that they are adhered to at all times.
• Collaborating with other department heads to align operational activities with the overall strategic goals of the company.
• Identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues that could impact the successful completion of construction projects.
• Providing regular updates and reports to the senior management team on project progress, challenges, and solutions.
  
  

Qualifications

The successful candidate for the Operations Executive/General Manager position must possess the following qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management within the construction industry, preferably in commercial drywall construction.
• Proven leadership skills, with a track record of building, leading, and motivating high-performing teams.
• Strong contract negotiation skills, with the ability to secure favorable terms and conditions for the company.
• Excellent budgeting skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage project finances effectively.
• A strong understanding of the construction industry, including current trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
• A degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
