The Wetside Mechanical/Industrial Piping/Plumbing Estimator will prepare estimates for the Wetside Mechanical/Industrial Piping & plumbing components of assigned projects using software to simulate the construction process and evaluate the costs of design choices. The Estimator may often consult databases and their own records to compare costs of similar projects. An Estimators' work product may include cost identification of elements such as raw materials and labor as well as a timeline for project completion.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Develop through knowledge of Mark III Construction's estimating system including computer programs, manuals and forms
Review proposal specifications, drawings and attend/lead pre-bid meetings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate including conceptual estimating to ensure quality control compliance of the estimated costs
Develop and provide complete, accurate and timely detailed estimates representing a projects' mechanical system, costs, associated general conditions, required overhead and profit
Perform quantity take-off of mechanical piping and industrial piping systems for plan/spec and design build projects
Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for quotes and specification compliance
Maintain all files of working bid documents, notes and assumptions of project estimates
Perform layout and sizing of piping systems as required to provide a complete system for estimating purposes when the documents are not complete
Define productivity requirements for the uniqueness of each project
Develop conceptual budget estimates from system narratives and/or system sketches
Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Possess skill set to perform estimating process support for plan/spec; design assist and design build delivery methods
Proficient in structuring the estimate and set up models to support the unique project RFP language defining costs components
Ability to read architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing and mechanical plans and be familiar with a variety of HVAC and piping systems, welding methods, and terminology
Above average skills in Microsoft Office products and computer trends/technology
Familiarity with Bluebeam software package
Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time
Have strong organizational and analytical skills
Ability to effectively interact with vendors, customers, field personnel, sales and office staff.
Have current relationships with vendors and customers
Possess strong verbal, written, analytical, persuasion and interpersonal skills

Education and Experience:
Five years' experience in mechanical engineering, construction and be familiar with a variety of HVAC, piping and plumbing system designs is a plus
Specific knowledge and experience with Estimating Software systems is required. Specific experience with Autobid/Quickpen software is a plus
Five years of related mechanical/industrial piping estimating experience
Previous experience as a journeyman
High school diploma, GED or equivalent
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
Attend construction site walks, climb ladders, walk on roofs

Salary Range: $110,000 to $130,000 DOE
