As a multi-discipline firm, Isett provides a full range of engineering and consulting services, including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, environmental, geotechnical, and municipal engineering, surveying, landscape architecture, code enforcement, plan review, construction management, construction materials testing, and grant writing services to clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic region

We are searching for a motivated, experienced individual to perform zoning services for our various municipal clients in Montgomery and Chester counties and surrounding regions on a full-time basis.

The successful candidate will serve as a technical consultant concerning zoning reviews, property maintenance inspections and letters, rental inspections and letters, and floodplain questions prior to PA UCC review.

Requirements

• Approximately 3 years work experience as a Zoning Officer, Zoning Administration, preferably in a capacity with or for a municipal government, and be familiar with business and municipal operations.
• Certified Flood Plain Manager or Flood Plain management experience preferred
• Very familiar with procedures and checklists, uniform applications (where possible), NOV’s, and reviewing/approving templates.
• Experience with a variety of zoning topics and associated permits needed to obtain a Zoning Permit.
• Experience attending Zoning Hearing Board, Planning Commission and Council/Board of Supervisors meetings.
• Be active in the community, municipal boards and/or professional societies (preferred)
• Current, valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to client sites.
• Demonstrated skills in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
• Proven, effective communication skills and ability to work remotely and with limited supervision.
• Ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with Isett associates and our clients.
