From the course: Facilitating Remote Design Thinking

Taking design thinking remote

- Design thinking can be an intensive, creative, sometimes exhausting process, even when the whole team is in the same room. Making the same magic happening remotely, take some serious planning. In this course, I'm going to take you through each step of the design thinking process with a focus on the remote experience. You should see this course as a companion to my Design Thinking, Implementing the Process course, and the detailed description of each stage that I gave in my UX Design series. We'll still talk about the design thinking process in this course. The emphasis though, will be on creating a supportive online environment to ensure you can be successful remotely. We'll cover the tools you need in order to take design thinking remote. But what I found is, that a successful design thinking workshop is more about team culture than it is about tools. The tools are interchangeable, there's no one best solution, and often whatever your team uses already is likely to be sufficient. The culture is the more challenging part, how to foster teamwork in a remote environment, and how to keep the momentum going from beginning to end. That's the part I've learned the hard way by running design thinking workshops in remote and hybrid sessions. And it's those hard won lessons, I'll share with you in this course.
