We are delighted to share another student success story with you – huge congratulations to Nincy Jacob on achieving her Gold Kingston Award. Nincy Jacob says "I absolutely enjoyed the Kingston Award for its transformative impact on my personal and professional growth. It's a journey that challenges you, broadens your horizons, and equips you with skills that extend beyond the classroom. To anyone considering taking part, my advice is simple: seize this opportunity. It's not just an award; it's a gateway to becoming a more well-rounded and employable individual. I decided to participate in the Kingston Award because I saw it as an incredible opportunity to enhance my skills beyond the classroom. It offered a structured way to gain a diverse range of competencies, network with peers, and improve my employability prospects. Taking part in the Kingston Award was immensely rewarding. I developed a holistic skill set that encompasses leadership, teamwork, digital literacy, and more. It also allowed me to step out of my comfort zone and embrace new experiences, broadening my horizons. I would advise students to seize this opportunity wholeheartedly. The Kingston Award provides a well-structured framework for personal and professional development. Don't hesitate to get involved in various activities; it's a journey that not only enhances your employability but also transforms you into a more well-rounded individual. Participating in the Kingston Award significantly enriched my university experience. It allowed me to strike a balance between academics and extracurricular activities. This, in turn, improved my time management skills and academic performance. As for employability, it's provided me with a robust foundation of skills that are highly sought after in today's job market.” We are so happy to hear how useful it has been for you, and the positive impact it’s had on your university experience and beyond, and we wish you every success in the future! #KingstonAward #KUextra #KingstonUniversity #graduatesuccess #reflecting #goforgold #FutureSkills

This year has certainly been the most challenging, balancing study and starting a new job definitely presented new obstacles to overcome, however this has been the most exciting year yet, both career and study! Thursday Reflections 🤔 Today as we are finishing another semester at Humber I paused for a moment to reflect on how the past 3 months have been. 😀 1. Dealt with a new team which I was quite uncomfortable working with as our ways of work were completely opposite. But by the end of the semester, we created great presentations and reports for the module and became coffee buddies who are now there for each other. 👨💻 This interaction taught me how important communication is no matter how uncomfortable the situation is. Disagreements are bound to happen in a team setting, it is how you navigate through those disagreements towards a solution that matters. 🤗 2. I had a diverse batch this past semester who had a wide variety of backgrounds and in every class, there were different viewpoints & discussions. While expressing my viewpoint, it was great to listen to everything what others had to say. I learned something new from everyone in the batch every day, may it be “the future of a BRICS common currency” or “why you should not second guess your answer to the MCQs, and go with your intuition”. Every conversation and every interaction becomes a learning, when you are willing to learn from it. 💁♀️ 3. Don’t forget to have fun! 🏄♂️ Since the start of the semester, I was running behind good grades and right now we are in this rat race to find a co-op. All these goals and aspirations never going to end and if we delay our happiness until we find that ‘one fine day’ to enjoy life it is never going to happen. So, I learned to enjoy….. every sunset I get to witness at Bloor Street East, a stroll down Chinatown, a quick snack stop down Yonge Street, and a moment of Zen at the HarbourFront because life passes by so fast and we should not postpone living in the moment. ✌ 🤩 Huh.. What a rollercoaster of mistakes and learnings it has been! 🤗

I help you build and grow your brand on LinkedIn | Content Writer | Ghostwriter | Personal Branding | LinkedIn Growth Strategist
Many people get this wrong about getting into a top B- School. I've heard this, and so have many CAT aspirants: "Just focus on clearing CAT and getting into a good B-School. That's all you need to do!" That's not all you need to do. Once you get into a good B-School, That's when the story actually begins. Whatever you've done to prepare for CAT can't fill the pieces of the remaining puzzle. You should be as active in your B-School too. Organizing events, Networking with people, Participating in inter-college and intra-college competitions, Making yourself well-equipped with soft skills, All these things matter more than your CAT score. Being a part of the committee FORE Connect, we recently organized a three-round competition - "Stratagem" that tests your Branding and Public Relations skills. The attention we had to put to details, The way we shared responsibility, The level of coordination we had to have, The number of screw-ups we had, The attention to detail that was necessary, The amount of energy we invested, These aren't the learnings in MBA books but what an authentic MBA offers. You'll get to look into the mirror and call your capabilities out. It's a journey that constantly tests you, makes you build on your abilities, pushes you out of your comfort zone, makes you look into yourself, and leaves you with tons of learnings and memories. ~ #MBALife #CATExam #FORE #LifeatFORE #MBA #MBAJourney #Storytelling #PersonalBranding #LinkedInforCreators
