Still on the Raft Work, next was the REINFORCED CONCRETE CASTING. Reinforced concrete is a mixture of sand, stone(granite), water, cement and steel rod in the right proportion to erect a structure. This stage involves filling of the form work done by the carpenters and iron benders with mixed concrete in the right proportion. The concrete inside the form work was vibrated with vibrator(vibrating machine) so that it would settle down well inside the form work. At the end of the day 3 inches gap between the concrete and steel rod was left to enable the DPC/Slab(German Floor) steel rod anchor/connect with the raft/foundation.
