Don’t start writing from the intro. It’ll make people skip your content. When I started writing online, I would approach each text similarly: 1. Write an outline 2. Write an intro 3. Write a main section 4. Write an outro 🤦 This is NOT the way. Best intros happen when you touch upon one, highly specific pain point of your reader. But, unless you know the topic extremely well, you don’t know what it is when you start writing. Only after researching + analyzing the topic, you’ll understand it well enough to spot it. So, start writing from the main section. Spend some time with the topic. Analyze it thoroughly. Read what others say about it. What a way to start a day like this, What a message! I always say this, I write not just for other people to learn from me but most importantly is I learning from myself, The joy is multiplied when others see my posts are educative and helpful to their day to day lives. Writing is not only a process of self discovery! It is a way to awaken other people's minds and curiosity to become better version of themselves. Write! Customers are always watching, noticing little nuances we may not even realize, and are surprisingly perceptive. Our words matter, how we structure our content, what we information we lead with and the hints in the tone. Whether we know it or not, we are tapping into the psyche of our audience all the time. People can sense fear, they can feel joy when we write from a happy place and they sense small aspects of desperation or worry even if we try to cover it with a smile. They can tell when we write a note from frustration and 'correcting behaviour' to when we write with genuine appreciation and gratitude. I try to keep this in mind when I write a post, strangely I smile to myself when I write posts and emails (yes even emails I am not happy about) I heard this trick and it does help to make you consider making the note a little more friendly... so now you know, I'm strangely smiling writing this with a laptop on my lap watching Botched... ...TMI) #content #writing #peoplenotice

Writing Hot Take 🔥 Writing a great hook ISN'T enough. 🙅♂️ You hear the same advice every time: 💬 "If you're writing, you need a great hook" 💬 "Your content will fail without a great hook" And you know what? They're 100% right! 😄👍 But y'know what's more important than a great hook? 🤔 Having great content AFTER your hook! Because if your content sucks, your awesome hook is useless! They'll read your hook then immediately move on to something else. So how do you stop that? 🤔 Instead of putting all your effort into 1 big hook... ✅ 𝗪𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗶𝗳 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗸! Treat each line like a hook that guides them to the next line.. And then the next line.. And the next.. All the way to the end! That's how you get your reader's attention AND keep it until the end! If you stop typing for >10 seconds, EVERYTHING that you wrote gets deleted. 🧨 It's like Google Docs with a time bomb. No time to scroll through distracting feeds. Can't pick up a call. Not a second to spare to look outside the window. Set a 5 minute timer and just let your thoughts go on paper. From experience, every time I boot it up, I always end up writing more, and end up with a finished piece soon after.
