🎙️ New on Automated Seller Podcast with Deltologic | Software for Marketplace Sellers! 🎧 Jacob chats with Oleg Kuzmenkov, founder of Seller Assistant. Starting as an Amazon seller in 2016, Oleg learned the hard way that it's all about customers, not just products. Facing challenges with Amazon's review system, he turned to online arbitrage, finding it tedious and manual. This led him to create Seller Assistant, making product research a breeze for Amazon sellers! 🔍 From manually analyzing thousands of products to coding a game-changing Chrome extension, Oleg's journey is inspiring. His app simplifies the process, letting sellers focus on what matters most. 🚀 Whether you're a seasoned Amazon seller or just starting out, Seller Assistant is here to help. Kubernetes is a powerful open-source container orchestration system that allows you to manage, automate, and scale containers (mini-applications) across multiple servers. It’s like the traffic manager of the container world, ensuring that your app components are balanced, healthy, and running smoothly. It allows developers to focus on the core task of building and maintaining their applications, without worrying about the operational challenges of running them at scale. Think of it like having your own personal traffic cop, only instead of managing cars, it’s managing your apps! Kubernetes is being used by companies like Google, Uber, and Spotify to manage their large-scale applications. For example, When you search on Google, Kubernetes ensures that your search is handled by the most appropriate server, delivering the fastest and most relevant results. #kubernetes #TechCommunity #techenthusiats #CodeLife #CodingResources

Companies like Uber, Stripe and Dropbox employ a little-known strategy to kick ass. Category design. For the uninitiated, category design is a business strategy used to define and win new market categories. Uber —> Ride-sharing Stripe —> Internet payments infrastructure Dropbox —> Cloud storage Problem is, there’s no single resource for learning about category design. So I spent the last month collecting / curating everything I have on the subject. Introducing the 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱’𝘀 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆. https://lnkd.in/gXq4dPTP Sections include: - Category 101 - Tools & Frameworks - Strategic Narrative Examples - Strategic Narrative How-to’s - People to Follow - Books, Podcasts & Newsletters - Courses - Agencies I’ll update as we go. What have I left out?? Let me know.

Still not profitable... I'm baffled. I recently heard a new story about Reddit considering another run at an IPO in 2024 (It tried before in 2021). The thing that struck me as odd was that the main reason given was Reddit was still not profitable. Still not profitable... The company is nearly 20 years old and still not profitable. Even Amazon, famous for not turning a profit for the first six years and making small profits for more than another decade, hasn't had a dry spell that long. And Amazon's primary reason for low profits was and is that it constantly invests in new businesses and technology. It started out selling books online; it is now incredibly diverse. Reddit appears to be all in on the social media bandwagon, with all its new features focused on supporting the existing platform. In Software Profit Streams, Luke Hohmann and Jason Tanner assert that for a business to be sustainable, it has to be profitable. Amazon met this; it just chose to invest all its profits back into the company. How is Reddit going public going to change that? The product space is the next frontier of good Agile practices. We can have the best teams in the world, building high-quality work and if it's work no one wants, we still fail. #agile #scrum #effectiveness #value #sustainability #continuousimprovement #ProfitStreams

My new purchase fulfillment through a stripe webhook was done in one hour. 2 Major Benefits of it: 1. No issues worry about fulfillment issues, because of internet connection error etc. on the users' phone 2. Way less waiting time for the user to finish the purchase. Thank you, YouTube, and a big thank you to my close friend GitHub Co-Pilot. Context: 🌟 Back in the early days, it was just me and my laptop, pouring my heart into my first app. That journey stretched over 2 years, taking me through late nights and countless challenges, but also amazing breakthroughs. Those years were a real-life crash course, teaching me more than I ever imagined. 🍂 A Turning Point - August 2023 marked a big shift for me. I had to face the hard truth: my project, despite all the sweat and tears, was too far from being profitable. The risk of it never reaching that point loomed large. So, after 2 years of giving it my all, I made the tough decision to close that chapter. 🌱 New Start - The past 3 months have been boring – mostly me in a room, trying to lean new stuff. But then, things started to change. My new app began to gain traction and even started bringing in some revenue (€500 this month). Sure, I'm still spending more than I'm earning (Now close to break even), but the growth and feedback I'm getting is spectacular! 🎯 I think it is possible to make $50k in monthly profits by December 24. 💬 I'm sharing Issues, leanings and accomplishments here. Let's connect, lean and celebrate together.

This weekend, I had a small win by launching Captioned on Product Hunt. Featured in the top products category and ranked second product of the day. Captioned is perhaps the smallest of the apps I have here currently in development, but it has unlocked something enjoyable in me: Just get started! Launch, receive feedback, iterate, and make small compounding updates. Developing with real users, comments, and subscriptions is a huge incentive. #buildinpublic #indiehacking #iosdev

🌐 #Day12 of 274: Mastering the AWS Universe, One Genius Move at a Time Strap in, tech aficionados! Today, we're diving into the heart of AWS AppConfig, and let me tell you, it's like finding the cheat code to your favorite video game. AppConfig? More like AppCool, because it's your backstage pass to managing application configurations like a rockstar. Picture AppConfig as the puppet master of your app settings. It's that secret sauce that lets you tweak and tune your app's behavior without deploying code faster than you can say "live update". Think of it as the wizard behind the curtain, making your apps dance to your tune without missing a beat. Why bother? Because hardcoding configurations is so 2000-late. AppConfig is like having a control panel for your apps that's as easy to use as a toddler's toy but as powerful as a rocket launcher. You can roll out changes with the precision of a ninja, ensuring your apps are always on the cutting edge, without throwing your users into the chaos of constant updates. 🔮 Tomorrow, we'll crack open another AWS mystery box. It's like a magic fabric weaving together your applications, making them stronger, faster, and more resilient. If AppConfig is the wizard, this service is the wand. Stay tuned! #AWSAdventures #TechWizardry #AppConfigUnleashed
