Future of healthcare needs to be holistic no more going to 10 referred doctors, second third opinions. Need to address the real root causes not the symptoms. Need to have inclusive approach emotional healing included. Need to understand the overall body system impact of disease not body part by body part. Energy healing breath work should also be included in the recommendations. Moreover the healthcare education itself should be reviewed. Insurance companies should then address the issues with the current healthcare system. I am not sure if there is data already being utilize to better the systems and make Insurance reasonable or it’s ignored not to impact the stakeholder benefits over consumer costs. Have not seen much done in that area other than national level policies which are harder to implement and/or changed. Not sure if policies are segmented just like auto insurance and approved at regional department level. We are becoming the product how can we bring back the human touch? Everything seems so robotic these days from procedural perspective. Just sharing thoughts based on experience around.

#AHIP2024 is a wrap! Day 3 and the conference closed with more great panels, interviews, and talks. Overall, I want to give major credit to the AHIP organizing team, who put together a comprehensive agenda that included industry leaders talking about and discussing important and also controversial topics. One thing I really liked about the conference was the consistent serving of #realitytalk vs. the usual pat on the back kumbaya approach many conferences take. The rigor of the discussions and debates left me more informed and inspired to learn more and take action. I'll definitely be back next year. 🚀 Our on-site interviews with leaders from Day 3 are highlighted below. Thanks to all who participated! Yoni Shtein CEO at Laguna Health - Using #GenAI to Improve Patient and Provider Experience in #CareManagement Donald Rucker CSO at 1upHealth, Inc. - Aquire, Manage, Share, and Analyze Data as Your Strategic Advantage Kye Gardner, SHRM-CP Executive Director at Alera Health - Collaborating for Better Behavioral Health Ryan Boulier VP at Sprinter Health - Turn-Key Care at Home Solutions Sessions attended and reviewed below. - The Promise of AI in Healthcare - David Rhew, M.D. Miriam Vogel and Danielle Lloyd dove into what opportunities and challenges exist with AI in healthcare, with a focus on the payer lense. - The Future of Healthcare: Consumers, CEOs, Health Citizens Kudos to Don Antonucci, David Rhew, M.D. Jane Sarasohn-Kahn Marc Harrison for a great session painting a picture of care by the year 2030. - Housing as Health Care - hats off to Lauren Easton, Amy King, Jim O'Connell, and Robert Traynham, Ph.D. for highlighting that housing stability is directly correlated with health outcomes, especially for populations with multiple, chronic conditions. - Impact of Private Equity on Patient Health - Zirui Song and Peter Marino discuss the impacts (positive and negative) of #privateequity in healthcare. Pros argue expand access to care and drive innovation, while cons agrue increases cost and overlook quality Something we should be thinking about. Other topics covered that I wasn't able to attend but will be reviewing later. - Safeguarding #HealthData in the Digital Age - #BehavioralHealth Equity - Leveraging #PayerProvider Collaboration - Trends in #PriorAuthorization - #MentalHealth & Addiction I'm looking forward to seeing how the discussions, partnerships, and new collaborations improve outcomes, care delivery, and business success. Until next year!

Digital Health | Patient-Centricity | Healthcare Innovation </> Business Development Director at Dawn Health - launching SaMD products for life science companies
Here is one that I’m a bit split over: a non-profit evaluating #digitalhealth solutions for efficacy, effectiveness, cost impact, and other important parameters - the Institute for Clinical and Economic Review (ICER) of #healthtech if you so want. The Peterson Health Technology Institute (PHTI) just received $50M funding to launch exactly that in 2024. “The independent evaluation of digital health tools is not only a great public service and resource, but it can also help drive the industry to be more rigorous and focused on contributions that meet the most urgent needs for information, quality care, effectiveness and efficiency.” With more solutions launching than HCPs and #patients can keep track off, the intent is certainly a great one. Independent assessments helps the industry grow in impact as a whole while limiting the adoption burden on health systems. But will an independent body be able to capture the value of solutions sufficiently fast to help with adoption instead of adding another adoption hurdle?
With a $50M springboard, a new initiative plans to evaluate digital health tools
