The consolidation is ongoing. “Europe accounted for the largest number of acquisitions (by target location) in April 2024, with 45.2% of all acquisitions recorded. North America accounted for 32.3% of acquisitions, with 10 acquisitions recorded in April. United States was the most active region in terms of acquisitions (by target location), accounting for 9 acquisitions, or 29% of all acquisitions recorded. In terms of target services, Logistics and Freight Forwarding were the two most popular target services, both accounting for 25.8% of total April acquisitions.” The market is changing, and without strategic alternatives, it will be challenging to compete in this market by relying solely on organic growth, as I have been emphasizing. Moreover, instead of a single universal direction for business actions, it’s necessary to construct multiple scenarios that consider the probable development of the market situation in a specific business area. This includes taking into account the likelihood of sustained higher interest rates and inflation, as well as the potential impact of a reduction in interest rates on our scenarios.
