Is PrettyLittleThing Alienating Its Customer Base with Recent Policy Changes? PrettyLittleThing.com who recently introduced fees for returns and is now deactivating the accounts of serial returners. According to an email seen by the BBC, some customers have been informed that their accounts were reviewed and subsequently shut down, preventing them from placing further orders. Affected customers have expressed their frustration on social media, questioning PLT's criteria for these account closures and blaming inconsistent sizing for their frequent returns. PLT apologized for any inconvenience caused in the email, noting that returns can still be processed through an online portal. PLT's decision follows a trend among fast fashion retailers like Zara and H&M, who have also implemented return fees to combat the rising costs associated with frequent returns. In the UK, PLT customers now face a return fee of £1.99, with fees reaching up to $14 elsewhere. While these policies aim to deter "serial refunders," as noted by retail payment experts at Dojo, the question remains: Is this approach a smart move or is it alienating PLT’s customer base?
