Has anybody else noticed the runaway BD salaries, high turnover, and relative lack of production in the behavioral health space the last half decade? This topic is one that gets brought up in a large majority of conversations with behavioral health execs when we discuss how to build out their BD teams. Below are my thoughts on the current state of BD rep salaries and suggestions as to what behavioral health companies and their reps should do about them. #addictiontreatment #behavioralhealth #outreach

In following up from the last post on the 7 Deadly Sins in BH Outreach I wanted to expand on the topic of salary creep in the industry which I previously alluded to. Hope you enjoy this topic and let me know your thoughts! #sales #salesleadership

When it comes to effective therapy, therapeutic alliance is critical. Join me for this exciting webinar with the Care Predictor Index team to discuss how they are supporting vendors, providers and payers with measuring peer-to-client and provider-to-client effectiveness and more: https://lnkd.in/ghYNMZtC
Human resource departments in behavioral health organizations face unique barriers in recruiting therapists who personify the values needed for clinical care. The goal is that all stakeholders can work together effectively to provide comprehensive and coordinated care that meets the patient's physical, emotional, and social needs. This is not only important for hiring the right clinical staff but the right care team and support staff. When your staff has a strong #TherapeuticAlliance, it drives greater client satisfaction, leading to an overall improvement in program adherence. In this webinar, we'll discuss the #clinical and #financial outcomes of prioritizing the Therapeutic Alliance in the hiring process. When our doctor sends us to get scans done it is because we have shared symptoms, they have assessed our treatment and need some additional detail to support our treatment plan and confirm diagnosis. If you want to understand what is happening in your organization around promotion, engagement and "retention," you look at lead and lag drivers. If you want to understand where your organization is in terms of belonging, trust, inclusion and diversity, you look at data - quantitative and qualitative. Why then do so many DEIB leaders experience pushback when they ask for data -- work allocation, attrition trends, hiring trends, use of family leave, etc. -- when working to solve the very problems they were hired to help solve? Like they say, make it make sense. #diversityandinclusion #lawfirmdiversity #ChooseCourage #dataanalysis

Some questions for my clinician friends who have taken the leap of faith and started their own practice or have been thinking about doing so: What were the biggest challenges? What was the scariest part? Losing the “safety” of big corporate job? The legal/regulatory hurdles? Real estate? Hiring? Having the right idea? Getting patients? I’ve heard many of these worries and I sympathize deeply. What if there were another way? What if you didn’t have to worry about setting up a PC, getting legal advice, buying an EMR, finding patient flow, and you could just START? Would eliminating those barriers to entry make it more likely for you to make the shift? What do you need to take a bet on YOU? We give so much of our energy and passion to someone else’s vision for the future. And while there are inspiring leaders who are worth following all over the place, there are many who are just good at convincing others into a faux reality to enrich themselves. I’d love to hear how you all think about this. We are building something special that I think will address many of these concerns. I want you to invest in yourself. To bring YOUR vision to reality. It will take all of us to right this ship. But it starts with each of us having the confidence to build a new reality that we know is right for patients, communities, and clinicians. I beleive. Do you?
