Lawyer | Partner at Osborne Clarke | Specializing in Intellectual Property (IP), R&D, Licensing and Tech/AI Matters
As I am currently sitting at the gate at #HeathrowAirport waiting for my (again) delayed flight back to Germany, I found some time to reflect on the last four weeks which mark the completion of my first month at #OC #OsborneClarke. A few takeaways and insights I want to share: 1️⃣ Whether or not the onboarding at a new place works out is a combination of many factors; however, first and foremost it is a question of whether you are being welcomed with open arms and the right spirit - thanks to the team at #OC, check on both aspects - I can't help but feel incredibly grateful for the warm welcome, the supportive team, and the great experiences I've had so far. It's been inspiring to see how every member of the team was, and still is ready to lend a helping hand or share valuable insights. #teamtomorrow 2️⃣ While a new beginning always requires some time to adapt and settle in, it is also a great opportunity to re-adjust your ability to learn. I'm more than excited about the endless possibilities for development that lie ahead. Basically every day presents an opportunity to expand my skills, broaden my horizons, and ultimately, become even more embedded in the #OC network. 3️⃣ Finally, onboarding is also a question of prioritizing - meeting new colleagues & clients, setting up the IT, aligning with BD and other functions within the firm (btw, thanks so much for the incredible help so far; in particular, thx to Dr. Andrea Schmoll and all the other #IP partners and associates, Anja Jähnel, John Madre, the entire team of #TAs and so many more). Unfortunately, all these things can't be done at the same time, so please be both, patient and lenient. I am trying hard meeting everybody and getting in touch - if not yet happened, please do chase me, I am always open for a lunch, coffee or simply a chat … ➡ So, again, thank you to everyone at #osborneclarke for making these first four weeks a remarkable experience. I'm eager to continue this journey together, celebrating successes, and creating lasting memories along the way. Here's to many more milestones and achievements ! 🚀 #NewBeginnings #TeamSpirit #Gratitude

… and that is week 1 just about complete at H&MV and I can definitely say that joining has been a great decision. Just some points that have helped to reinforce this include; (aside from the great benefits and initiatives on offer) (1) 👷♀️ Endless examples of employees who have taken internal opportunities and progressed at a fantastic rate through the organization – this is not just a corporate claim, this is absolutely real in the case of H&MV. (2) 👷♂️ The culture is visibly very positive with a realization that the company is at a great time in its journey (our Glassdoor score of 4.3 helps reflect this also) – people are all super complimentary of the environment and really make the effort for you to feel welcome. (3) 👷♀️There is a focus on balance plus also having fun, with many different types of events happening regularly from the Sports and Social groups. (4) 👷♂️ A feeling that we are lucky to be part of a truly special homegrown company that at its core has a driving ambition to foster and support sustainable initiatives. I could list all of the perks and benefits too however outside of these the above are just some of the other areas that I have seen this week that also differentiate H&MV! If this sounds like a culture or environment that you would like to be part of too, please get in touch @ joe.hendry@hmveng.ie or feel free to apply direct via the open roles on our careers pages. And of course… wishing you a great weekend ahead! #HMV #wearehiring #opportunities Diarmaid Robinson Leigh-Ann Carroll Joseph Flanagan Joe Newsome Ryan Thomas McNamee

One year of Auxo Solutions complete ✅ It has been a rollercoaster of emotions where everything is felt ten-fold to the emotions I used to feel as an employee. The roles being put on hold, the offers falling through etc. is all part of the wonderful world of recruitment 🤪 Yet I’ll never forget our first invoice being sent out and money coming into the business. Pure elation! From there we’ve continued to build some great relationships, increased revenue, a larger network, placed some incredible candidates in top businesses and found a whole new love for recruitment. By no means is taking the leap into business ownership easy. It’s a lot of hard-work, many late nights, weekends, sleepless nights and stress. But nothing in life that’s worth having comes easy right? It’s a huge learning curve and a great challenge, but I am loving it. It’s really exciting talking about all of the things we can achieve at Auxo and where we can take the company. Importantly, I’ve never been happier in my life. Happy to chat to anyone who may be considering starting up themselves – just drop me a message. Finally, a big thanks to Jordan for keeping me sane throughout this journey. It’s been great bouncing ideas off each other, keeping ourselves accountable, maintaining motivation and having a lot of fun along the way too. Here’s to year number two 🍾 #oneyear #business #anniversary

📣🎉 HIP HIP HOORAY! It’s a very special day. We’re giving a cheer for Jean-François Gay who's celebrating FIVE fantastic years elevating our work behind the scenes as a key player on our internal tech team! When you’re celebrating someone as fun, smart, curious and creative as our Jean-François (J-F), you can’t help but shout your gratitude from the rooftops. And that’s exactly what we’re going to do 👏🎉. J-F, with your drive and eagerness to learn, it’s no wonder you’ve grown beyond measure since you landed on Team Altis in 2018. When you took on your new role as Lead Systems Architect, you hit the ground running—learning, adopting, adapting and evolving as you went. When you’re faced with something new, you take a 360° view and dive in feet first ready to tackle whatever challenges come your way. Thanks to your expertise and determination, you’ve solved every technical issue that comes your way, brainstorming with your team to find the best solution. We celebrate you for being a superstar collaborator! And while we’re cheering for J-F’s incredible accomplishments, don’t be surprised if you see him blushing—our J-F is as humble as he is clever (that is to say, he’s very humble!). J-F, your drive to keep improving—both for yourself and those around you—is a true asset to your team and our organization. Your work, and the curiosity that powers it, is foundational to our vision for the future of Altis. CHEERS to FIVE fun years! And here’s to more growth, solutions, and collaboration in the years to come. #teamcelebration #anniversarycelebration #teamengagement #milestonecelebration

It stands to reason that throughout your working life you'll spend more time with your colleagues than most of your family or friends. Which is why, in our opinion, it is SO important when looking for a new job to find a team who you enjoy spending time with. And that this is as essential (if not more) than the company or the role itself. We're very lucky at VRS to work with a wonderful bunch of humans; those who we would cross an ocean to see & choose to spend time with on our weekends. Dissatisfied with your current tribe? Let our team help you find your new team.. #culture #teamworkmakesthedreamwork #vrsrecruitment

The sun ☀ is (sometimes) out and we're welcoming the start of Summer here at Omnea, as well as the most recent addition to our Customer team, Dalia Z! Being part of a startup in its early stages means navigating a landscape of constant surprises, challenges, and opportunities. This is why having a cohesive team is invaluable: ✨ Team Before Self✨ is one of our core values, and it underscores one of our core beliefs -- together we can achieve far more than we ever could alone. We know that each team member brings unique strengths and perspectives, and by working together & having fun together (!) we can navigate challenges more effectively, innovate more creatively, and celebrate victories even more enthusiastically! This value fosters a culture of trust & respect, where everyone feels valued and empowered to contribute their best 😍 This is why we try to come together as often as possible to celebrate big and small things: a new starter, a successful month, a birthday, a sunny day! These moments of connection are vital for maintaining our strong team spirit and reinforcing our shared values. This time, for our May social, we enjoyed some electric shuffle and a welcome lunch at our favorite pizza joint (iykyk). As we embrace the summer ahead, we look forward to more moments of connection, collaboration, and celebration. Join the team & join us for our next social -- https://careers.omnea.co/

Outside of the OG "Shark Week" (it's definitely either gotten less entertaining, or I personally have gotten older and more boring) this appreciation week is by far my favorite of the year... Happy #BDRappreciationweek too all those busting their ass day in and day out in the XDR world!! I may be a little bias here, but nothing is more refreshing to me than working with people who genuinely empathize and appreciate XDRs. Often time's their work is extremely overlooked. Everyone says they know it's a tough job, but we don't know exactly what goes into making it "tough". Kyle Coleman mentioned a few pieces to never forget about that I thought hit the nail on the head: - Your work matters to everyone around you. Generating pipeline is the backbone of every single company. - The skills you're building are critical in everything going forward. Invest in yourself and appreciate all that you learn in this role. There is no function I rather be apart of than XDR's, and I have been so fortunate to work with hundreds, many who have taken GIANT steps in their careers since, something that I am unbelievable honored in being a small portion of their career journey. So cheers to those putting in the hard, often under appreciated work - keep after it, the right people are taking notice & do care deeply about you as an individual and your performance. Last but not least, please never forget that -- to quote Anthony Natoli -- every day is XDR appreciation day! Pictured below is the incredible BDR team that I am lucky enough to be apart of at Mosaic.tech - we had ourselves a fun, laid back "brunch/lunch" today, with special guests Ashley Hamano & Mauro Tete, who recently moved from world-class BDRs to Commercial AEs at Mosaic. p.s. happy March, regardless of what happened in February, it's a new month. Now get after it & crush your numbers! #sdrs #bdrs #businessdevelopment #salesdevelopment #appreciation #thankful #shoutout #sales #xdrs
