So, I'm currently building the worlds leading Personal Branding membership anchored in purpose (this is what sets up apart actually) from home in my Pjs and with four kids whose wellbeing and everything in b/t I'm (alongside hubby) responsible for. As exciting as it feels, I hear the voices often telling me to chill because it's a waste of time and a height too much for someone like me to climb. They say... "It's a waste of time because you're African, Emily. It's a waste of time because you're black, Emily. It's a waste of time because you live in Nigeria/Africa. It's a waste of time because you need external funding to do this at a global level and play with the big boys. It's a waste of time because there are other memberships that exist and they came before you. It's a waste of time because you are a woman+mum, and there's just a limit to how much ambition you can have, a limit to what you can do and a limit to what you can have". Well, well, well, you know the only limit I see in all of this? It's the limit that we put on ourselves and the stories that we tell ourselves and the conversations we have with ourselves at the end of the day and each day. As for the assignment God's given me, I am SOLD OUT to this mission and the work needed to be done don't scare me one hell bit. The year is still fresh and for me, the beauties of 2024 are just starting to unfold. ✅️ This year, no pressure, only PEACE. ✅️ This year, no running all over the place, only PRODUCTIVITY that leads to PEACEFUL PROFITS. And next time someone tells you it can't be done doesn't mean it can't be done by YOU. Just because they failed at their mission or first try, don't mean you will fail at yours.
