Feeling crabby? Not with our Employee Spotlight, Haynes Hendrickson, around! 🦀 Get to know one of Playfly's greatest catches better below. What do you do at Playfly Sports? As part of the Corporate Business Development team, I am focused on identifying opportunities with properties/rightsholders for any of Playfly’s Value Creation Services. This requires a lot of outreach and conversations to share Playfly capabilities and recent successes while also getting properties to openly share where they have blind spots and could use help. I also spend a lot of time communicating with Playfly business leads to make sure we are representing their narrative most effectively out in the marketplace. How do you like to spend your time outside of work? When we are not at sporting events in the Mid-Atlantic region with our two children (ages 13 and 12) we love to be home with our very large network of family and friends. My wife and I live in the same town that we grew up in and have a large extended family between us. Also, I love to do landscaping at home…perfect lines in the lawn deliver so much satisfaction. Lastly, I enjoy grilling and smoking food…and staying hydrated while doing it. Favorite movie and/or TV show? Movie: Godfather I, II, III TV Show: Diners, Drive-ins & Dives (I could watch it for hours) What destination do you hope to visit one day? I hope to visit the Far East someday. If you could learn a new skill/hobby, what would it be? I would love to know how to play guitar. Fun or interesting fact about you? I have completed 13 marathons and Two 70.3 Ironman races. #Playflyers #EmployeeSpotlight

VISIT WALES SHOULD NOT BE LISTING OR PROMOTING - 25 of 50 Brecon Beacons Visitor Centre links out to guided walks not accredited with Visit Wales. Brecon Beacons Visitor Centre has been reported as falling outside of the Visit Wales onboarding rules as part of my campaign to have Visit Wales deliver a 'level playing field'. BRECON BEACONS VISITOR CENTRE REMAIN LIVE ON THE VISIT WALES WEBSITE My business, Wales Outdoors, which delivers daily events through Mountain Leader and Green Badge Guide qualified staff, in Wales, to tourists from across the globe, remains banned from the Visit Wales website. Visit Wales staff apply their not fit for purpose onboarding rules to Wales Outdoors but not to Brecon Beacons Visitor Centre. Why do Visit Wales staff insist on platforming a business offering guided walks that has no accreditation through the Visit Wales Adventure Activity Assurance Scheme and why do Visit Wales staff refuse to explain this glaring discriminatory practice? This is a question I have been demanding an answer to since March of 2020.

Racing at the F1 Arcade was a great opportunity to break out of the norm and try something new! Our UK Team let off some steam from the busy work week and engaged over light-hearted competition. But there’s more to it than just fun… Time is our most valuable resource and the time we spend with our colleagues outside of the office must be purposeful. Why would you spend more time at work when you could be at home with your family, your dog, or your plants? The way we interact and engage in the workplace has changed over the last few years. When researching activities for our team, I ask: What is the purpose? What are the main takeaways from the experience? For the F1 Arcade, the purpose was to get people out of their comfort zones and try something new. To engage with one another differently from the onslaught of Zoom and Slack. To talk about something other than work. The main takeaway was getting to know your colleagues on a more personal level. To share a common, unique experience to carry with us as a team. And yes, it is always an Employee Experience Manager’s hope that the team had some genuine fun 😊 WalkMe™

Running Forward: Navigating the Shift from Virtual to In-Person Experiences In the dynamic landscape of the running community, a recent Running USA survey struck a chord — 75% of over 5,000 surveyed runners believe virtual races miss the mark on delivering the real-life experience. As the lead coordinator for two major running events production companies, I facilitated the successful participation of over 33,000 virtual runs globally from 2019 to 2020. This experience speaks volumes about our team's adaptability and innovative approach to running industry trends, all while accurately forecasting the ones that unfolded. The running community, once immersed in virtual races, is now finding harmony with both in-person and virtual options in the post-COVID era. On a positive note, the outdoor recreation industry in the United States is thriving, contributing significantly to the economy and reflecting an even greater appreciation for outdoor activities. According to the Bureau of Economic Analysis, the industry reported an impressive $563.7 billion in 2023, constituting 2.2% of the nation's GDP and employing 5 million workers. This upward trend echoes the positive impact of the recreation industry on our economy. VISIT WALES SHOULD NOT BE LISTING OR PROMOTING - 23 of 50 Drovers Cycles is linked out from a magazine page that has multiple errors and features illegal and dangerous activities. Drovers Cycles offers guided mountain bike tours and is not accredited with Visit Wales. Jon Munro and Heledd Owen agreed in September of 2022 that the magazine page would be removed from the Visit Wales website. Drovers Cycles was reported as falling outside of the Visit Wales 'link to' rules as part of my campaign to have Visit Wales deliver a 'level playing field' back in the Autumn of 2022. DROVERS CYCLES REMAIN LIVE ON THE VISIT WALES WEBSITE My business, Wales Outdoors, which delivers daily events through Mountain Leader and Green Badge Guide qualified staff, in Wales, to tourists from across the globe, remains banned from the Visit Wales website. Visit Wales staff apply their not fit for purpose onboarding rules to Wales Outdoors but not to Drovers Cycles.
