Day #67 of leading the Found Syndicate A total of 463 founders have reached out to us so far, with 36 (<8%) making it to the pitch stage, and three (<1%) going through to signing terms sheets with us. More on this very soon. We've given feedback to 98.49% of the companies that have applied, with a high level view of what stopped the application from progressing. For those founders that we can't back, we do our best to point them in the right direction. Our process has become more structured. So, for the first two weeks of each month we will consider a new batch of founders for deploying investment. The latter half of the month will pre-dominantly be reserved for deeper due diligence. We're excited to share news about our October portfolio companies soon!

Reviewing a GP’s deal memo can be a great way for new angel investors to start understanding how other investors think. Pay close attention to what the memo emphasizes. What’s mentioned first. What’s elaborated on. What do they miss? And if you can access deal memos from different GPs You can compare and contrast different investing viewpoints. This is one of the things I love about joining syndicates as an emerging angel investor. It’s a great crash course on how other investors think about their deals.
