THE WAGES FOR WESTERN SOFTWARE DEVELOPERS ARE NO LONGER SUSTAINABLE. I have received some messages from friends around here, puzzled because I don't need to hire any software/hardware engineers in Western countries to work on our top-notch projects based on the latest models of very specific hybrid setups with CPUs, FPGAs, GPUs, and in some cases TPUs and analog AI accelerators. And yep, we don't need to hire anyone in Europe, Canada, let alone the USA. We design the algorithms and the modules, then simply outsource the software along with some peripheral devices to countries in Asia, South America, and even Africa. The quality has been improving over the last few years, and frankly, the small differences in software and hardware quality, which are easily refactorized by us, don't justify getting the job done in Western countries, especially when it's exactly the same job but at 10-100 times the price. Sorry, but no.

#Technology has become like food plate, The current warfare dynamic that are happening in Middle East and Ukraine, We can easily identify how cheap technology they can bring a complete disaster to the higher tech machinery, For instance the Houthi rebels & Hamas use cheap technology to destroy $2M dollar Tank made for western and USA, This is complete bizzare in today world. There are plenty of example we can details. In short we are living today not for having quality of everything is a complete lie, People they just need a software or machine that can perform there job for ration of 50-60% percent. Adding to that, We have seen a surprise attack that happen to Israel on October 7th, where is israel is high tech country with AI using and all other technology that you can imagine, But what we don’t forget this AI/ML technology are not perfect at all, They all have loopholes and they don’t functional in some adversary condition. Also technology now days has become like market we have many competitors not only western again, You have IRAN, North Korea, Turkey,South Africa,Ghana,Nigeria, All this countries now are coming like fire 🔥 to cutter all domains its becoming a competitive market and not unipolar world.

“Full-Stack Embedded Software Engineer” My goal is to become a 'Full-Stack Embedded Software Engineer'. A full-stack developer traditionally refers to someone who can develop both the front-end (user-facing) and back-end (server-side) of an application. However, I aim to extend this concept to the field of embedded systems. My career began as a project lead, and I have gained experience in a wide range of areas, from application development in embedded systems to middleware, operating systems (OS), and Board Support Package (BSP) development. Through these experiences, I have gained a deep understanding of how each layer of an embedded system interacts with one another. Recently, I have also ventured into the field of chip development and verification. In this process, I am keen to gain insights into how hardware and software can combine organically to create effective systems. This journey has developed not just my technical skills but also an integrated way of thinking and problem-solving abilities. My goal is not only to understand every part of an embedded system but also to deeply comprehend how these parts connect and enhance the performance and efficiency of the whole system.

Last week I ran a poll on whether Embedded Systems Development is more difficult than Web/Mobile SW Engineering. Here are the results: This was prompted by discussions I had around the hiring challenges businesses are seeing within the embedded space. It seems that there may be a slight perception that embedded system development is harder. Is this part of the reason we are seeing less grads deciding to move into the industry vs Web/ Mobile? The numbers don't lie about this either. The talent pool numbers are staying the same within Embedded Software. For a growing industry that is a problem. What can we do to attract more engineers into the industry? #embedded #graduatecareers

What makes you stick to the things that are most important in your life? Most Engineers only stay at a company for 1.8 years before switching to somewhere new . Lack of development. Poor management. Underuse of skills. The list goes on… Let's say a great mentor laid out your career development plan for you. While you work with interesting technology that impacts the lives of millions of people... Would that make you stick around? What if you could also have the flexibility to work from home a few days a week? Sounds madness? Maybe. But this company has it all. And I can prove it. You’d join one of Australia’s most successful companies. They don't just make world-class products. They also impact the lives of millions of people. Including their own. They have an average tenure of 5.4 years, when most companies average sits at 1.8. And, out of 15 Principal Engineers in the team, not a single one of them was hired for that position. They worked with their managers and mentors to get to where they are today. Surely that says something? You'll join a team of 30 engineers and work with Core Functionality, Wireless Connectivity, and Communications Links. This means you get your hands dirty with low level Embedded C & Assembly, RTOS, hardware bring-up, memory management and device diagnostics on a complex multi-core DSP platform. Sounds interesting? Drop me a DM :)

1moI applied to the CSR position for Jamaica, however, on the application you do not have Jamaica listed as one of the countries you are hiring from. I had to select other and immediately after submitting my application, i got an automated rejection email. If you’re not hiring from Jamaica, please remove it from the LinkedIn ad as well as the top of the application when you get on the Ashby page. Otherwise, you need to add Jamaica as one of the countries to select from the list on the application page.
