WAUW – WHAT A COMPANY…..1 YEAR LATER
A year ago I posted my first impressions of Copenhagen Airports A/S after my introduction weeks.
I was amazed and impressed of the company and by the way I was greeted.
So how are those impressions 1 year later?
Well, I am still impressed! 😊
WHY?
I love the vibe at the airport when I arrive at work in the morning, and when I get a small insight into the passenger’s lives, feelings and experiences at CPH.
I have a manager and many colleagues who are all supporting me, challenging me and giving me constructive feedback, so I can keep learning and developing.
It is a complex organization that intrigues my problem solving, improving and strategic mindset.
CPH is an organization that seeks to improve on all levels and all processes.
Courses, training, and education is offered to improve skills – on all levels of the organization.
I have to walk many steps every day when going from one meeting at one end of the airport to another (the airport is bigger than you think 😊) – and I love to walk the many steps each day– it keeps me active and is actually a good and effective break and exercise.
My colleagues make me laugh almost every day – something I appreciate tremendously.
SO WHAT HAVE I DONE THIS PAST YEAR?
I have created a big and solid network across the organization consisting of very skilled colleagues - who also happen to have fantastic personalities and humor.
I have become a Prosci Certified Change Practitioner, so I can be an even better advisor to the Directors and the organization regarding Change Management
Implemented Performance Management
Implemented Deviation Management
Developed and implemented After Action Review to secure structured
learnings and actions
Created inter-organizational collaboration.
Volunteered to be a Safety Ambassador, because Safety always comes first
Volunteered to help our many departing passengers in Terminal 2 on one of the busiest days of the year (which was both very educational and fun - but also terrifying, since I was completely out of my comfort zone)
LEARNINGS
A good network is important, because it contributes to your social well-being, leads to exchange of ideas, learnings, and perspectives, and helps you meet people at all professional levels.
Getting regularly out of your comfort zone is crucial to develop and learn.
Fun at work should be prioritized every day for well-being
Looking forward to another year with lots of challenges, exciting projects and laughs at CPH. 😊
