Former President Donald J. Trump didn’t have the gas prices ever exceed $3.00 per gallon and the current President has had gas prices over $3.00 a gallon for 1,000+ days. In a sweeping win for climate and environmental advocates, the Biden administration on Friday finalized a rule to ban fossil fuel drilling on nearly half of the National Petroleum Reserve in Alaska, alongside other major conservation actions. The Interior Department will block oil drilling on over 13 million acres in the Western Arctic, including about 40% of the land of the NPR-A – a remote area that is home to protected animal species including polar bears and caribou. The reserve is more than 23 million acres of public land and an underground emergency oil supply for the US Navy that was designated in the early 1920s. More recently, it’s become the site of the ConocoPhillips-owned Willow project, a controversial oil drilling venture in the Arctic. Is it any wonder that gas prices are continuing to go up exponentially. It’s the fundamental differences in energy philosophy between a President that supports climate change and EV vehicles and one who supports energy independence.

My though on inflating Offshore Wind pricing. "Fix it" by Revising the Jones Act to permit specialized Wind Installation & Servicing vessels to run between US ports (from international companies) to get these farms economically completed - as Scandinavian countries (Danish Ørsted and Norwegian in particular) have decades of focused specialty in this area. Part 2: Requirement for specialized wind companies to provide US industry with assistance to develop our own installation ships Quick take: there's much work to do and plenty to go around, so no worries on 'market protectionism' instincts. ⭐️ In the event all offshore wind farms are installed worldwide ahead of time, we'll simply accommodate the invested shipping infrastructure from national defense budgets, which will be conflict-preventative measures from heat-related stressors on the rise. ⭐️ I advocate for an international Climate Defense Force.

I saw today in the Financial Times that Russia is sending oil tankers via the artic: “Russia has authorised unreinforced oil tankers to sail through its icy Northern Sea Route for the first time, triggering warnings Moscow is risking a catastrophic Arctic spill as it reroutes sanctions-hit energy exports to Asia.” Sending single hull oil tankers anywhere is beyond risky. Think Exxon Valdez and Alaska many decades ago. Double hull tankers is the standard to protect the seas.
