Lots of benefits to being a high performer that’s found a reasonable level of success. Not as much talk about the disadvantages. One of the biggest ones is never being able to slow down. 👉🏻 Helped my son launch a business. “That’s a given” in my head. No self-recognition. 👉🏻 New SEO client. Congratulate the team, and onto what’s next. 👉🏻 New record revenue. Congratulate the team, and onto the next. 👉🏻 New accomplishment. Don’t slow down to appreciate it, and onto to the next. Sometimes I look back and can’t wrap my head around how much I do. But in the moment it’s never enough. Winning is awesome. “Must be nice.” But the level of dedication and mental bandwidth is more than most could fathom. It’s a level most people don’t understand. I can’t not be doing something. If it’s not work, it’s wife and kids. And if they’re off doing something when I’m off work and I’m trying to not work, I’m doing house work. 😂 Committing to the dedication needed to knock out more in a day than others doing a week or a month is the same reason others don’t try and don’t understand, making it unrelatable to both sides. Trying to slow down and give myself time to appreciate accomplishments. Like the other week. ✅ Sent a proposal to one of the nations largest franchises. And they own franchises upon franchises. Talking multiple hundreds. Mapped out scalable onboarding with the team. The wins we could bring them are immeasurable, and it would be a fantastic client for our portfolio. ✅ Sent a proposal to a respected influencer. Someone making a difference in the world. Household name I can’t wait to hopefully share. ✅ Sent a proposal to one of the biggest people in the world. Literally. This is the one I can’t wait to hopefully announce. Giants supporting giants in their respected fields. Next few weeks will be 🔥. And it’s “just another day.”

Had a coffee catch-up with a friend from the networking world this morning and she told me a tale, and let's just say it was a tale as old as time in the world of business opportunities. 🙄 So, brace yourselves, it's time for a good ol' rant... 😄 She hopped on board the franchise train - I won't name names, but honestly, they're like the "same-same but different" gang. You know the pitch: "We've got the brand, the products, and the reputation, all you need to do is sprinkle a bit of your magic dust and watch the money roll in!" 🪄💰 But the reality is, you won't be selling their stuff by just chatting people up. Seriously, what would you even say? "Hi there, let me tell you about my fantastic new gig!" 🤷♀️ And when someone finally asks about your new venture, you start talking, and well, in her words, "I could see them physically repelling as I spoke." 🏃♂️💨 Because what most of these franchises are really selling is not a ready-made business but just a truckload of their stuff. They don't throw in marketing advice, advertising support, sales training, or even a proper mentorship. You basically have a ton of inventory with a side of zero business knowledge. 📦❌🤯 But here's the kicker, they then can't afford folks like me who could teach them the ropes because they've spent all their cash on the franchise. 🤑 Now, they're stuck between a rock and a hard place, trying to figure out marketing, sales, and business on their own (usually crashing and burning along the way) or dishing out even more cash for expert help. I've been there, folks. Remember when I took a life-coaching course? I've bored you with that story on a number of occasions. 🧘♂️ I was great at coaching but utterly clueless about the business side. It led me right back to a job I loathed, and my dreams took a back seat. 😔 But hey, I don't throw in the towel that easily. The next time I had some cash to splurge on personal development, I invested in learning online marketing. Now, I can sell ice to Eskimos, and I teach others to do the same. ❄️😎 Moral of the story: Spend your hard-earned money wisely.
