Canada Day Reflection On this Canada Day, Laurabel Mba Consulting takes a moment to reflect on the dualities that this day represents. While we celebrate the many achievements and values that define our nation, we must also acknowledge the complex and painful history that Indigenous Peoples have endured. Canada's story is not complete without recognizing the profound contributions of Indigenous Peoples and the ongoing journey toward truth and reconciliation. Today, we honor the original stewards of this land and commit to learning from their rich cultural heritage and history. As we move forward, let us use this day as a reminder of our collective responsibility to build a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive Canada. A Canada where every individual, regardless of their background, can thrive and feel valued. Let's pledge to make our communities places where everyone can show up authentically and where the principles of justice and equity are woven into the very fabric of our society. Together, we can create a brighter future for all. Happy Canada Day! #CanadaDay #Diversity #Equity #Inclusion #IndigenousAcknowledgment #Reconciliation #LaurabelMbaConsulting

Happy🎉🇨🇦 🎉Canada 🎉🇨🇦🎉Day, 🎉🇨🇦🎉 Happy Canada Day! Today, we celebrate Canada's 157th birthday and its rich tapestry of cultures and opportunities. Canada stands as a beacon of multiculturalism, being the first country in the world to adopt it as an official policy in 1971. This commitment was further solidified with the Canadian Multiculturalism Act in 1988, enshrining diversity as a fundamental Canadian value The nation celebrated Canadian Multiculturalism Day, honouring the numerous cultural communities that contribute to Canada's vibrant society. This day serves as a reminder of the country's dedication to equity, inclusion, and mutual respect. Canada's diversity is reflected in its history and present. From Indigenous peoples who built thriving cultures, to immigrants from around the world who have shaped the nation, Canada's story is one of many voices. The country's immigration system, reformed in the 1960s, opened doors to people from diverse backgrounds, particularly from Asia, fundamentally changing Canada's demographic landscape. As we celebrate today, let's appreciate the opportunities Canada offers and the collective strength derived from its multicultural identity. It's a day to reflect on the past, celebrate the present, and look forward to a future where diversity continues to enrich the nation.

🇨🇦🍁 Reflecting on Canada Day: Embracing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion 🍁🇨🇦 Canada Day is a time to celebrate the rich mosaic of cultures and peoples that make this nation unique. However, we must recognize that for many Indigenous communities, this day may hold a different significance. Turtle Island, the land we now call Canada, has been the ancestral home of Indigenous Peoples long before the concept of Canada even existed. While we celebrate the achievements and diversity of our country, let us also take a moment to reflect on the often-troubled history between the Canadian state and the original inhabitants of these lands. Many Indigenous Peoples have not fully aligned themselves with the Canadian identity, as the legacy of colonialism and the ongoing struggles for self-determination and reconciliation remain deeply felt. Some are not Canadians but are rights and treaty holders on this land that we are guests on. It is crucial that we honor and uplift the voices, stories, and contributions of Indigenous Peoples, not just on Canada Day, but every day. Their resilience, wisdom, and stewardship of the land are integral to the fabric of this nation, and their rightful place as the first peoples of Turtle Island must be recognized and celebrated. In this spirit, let us come together to acknowledge the complex and nuanced perspectives on this day, and strive to build a more inclusive, equitable, and just society that truly reflects the diversity and the deep-rooted history of this land and its peoples. Wishing everyone a reflective and inclusive Canada Day. 🇨🇦❤️ —- Artistic version of the national flag using native motifs and style. If this guy ever had to go out and purchase groceries, he might consider all the farmers harvesting the food in his cart, that have to pay carbon tax to grow and harvest our food. Then the trucking companies that deliver the food must buy gas with a carbon tax associated with each item increasing their costs. Canadian consumer's cost of a trip to the grocery store has more than doubled in the last three years. Then everyone in this country needs to heat their homes it hurts common Canadians every day. Why don't we eliminate carbon pricing it is not reducing worldwide emissions it only reduces Canadian emissions. Focus on research and development inside our Canadian Energy companies to find alternative energies and deliver the cleanest possible energy to the world. That will do more for the environment, the people of this great country, and the world. Canada needs more clean Canadian oil and gas. Every company that I deal with daily is concerned about the well-being of their employees and about the well-being of our world's environment! Trudeau you just don't get it, (it is not about a sweet UN posting into your retirement) what you are doing is harming everyone in this country and not helping the Environment. Get rid of him.
The difference is clear: while Pierre Poilievre wants to take Canada backward, we’ll keep Canada moving forward – for everyone.
