Design Centre Chelsea Harbour’s Post

This afternoon, we held a fantastic Grow Your Business session, Hospitality In Design, hosted by Business of Home with guest speakers Tim Green, director at The Colefax Group; Marie-Séverine de Caraman Chimay, managing director of Watts 1874; and Benjamin Frowein, CEO, F. Schumacher & Co. Europe as they explored international business success, with an emphasis on the future of hospitality design. We were also thrilled to welcome chair Dennis Scully, podcast host at Business of Home.  “Thank you for sharing your knowledge and your passion for this part of our industry. Hospitality has had and a rebound, things have changed and there's a more meaningful connection between the guest, the hotel, the architecture of the building and the community. There's more openings for experimentation and creativity for interior designers and suppliers, we're seeing less soulless, anodyne rooms and more fabulous opportunities for lobbies, restaurants and cafes.  Of course there's outside areas that bring character, colour, passion and of course spaces can be changed up, or they've got longevity. Good for the planet, they can stay year on year. There's a knock-on effect not just for the hotel industry, but also for guests. They're inspired by what they seen and they want to recreate at home.”
