Construction of Intel's Fab 29 module 1 and module 2 near Magdeburg, Germany, delayed due to pending EU subsidy approval and the necessity to remove black soil, pushing the start to May 2025, with the possibility of coming online in late 2027 – early 2028. Delays stemmed from subsidy approval, led Germany's Finance Minister to intervene and ensure Intel's needs were met, but the EU Competition Authority has yet to approve the subsidy of €9.9 billion. Infrastructure development is crucial, with plans for access roads and land acquisition ongoing, aiming to comply with environmental and building regulations. #fab #intel #semiconductor #construction #innovation #technology #Germany #infrastructure https://lnkd.in/d9jebnEE

Does Intel see the demand to support new fabs, in Germany or Ohio or anywhere else? Intel's annual revenue now is about the same as it was ten years ago.
