Great conversation today! Be sure to join next weeks conversation so that you can gain access to the growing documentation of best practices, questions and feedback on AI tools in their growth in the #Automotive industry.
Here’s a quick recap of some of the topics covered:
Vendors, take the advice you can give to your dealer clients when it comes to tailoring your pitch.
Dealers, remember to just do one thing. We know your head is spinning from everything you learned at DigitalDealer, but keep the momentum by implementing one small thing now.
Dealers and vendors, a mutually beneficial partnership starts by providing clean data and truthful information as an exchange to build a foundation on which the relationship will grow.
Before you bring on an AI tool to assist, make sure that you have your house in order. Ensure your processes are not only dialed in, but in writing. By tightening up your process, you will save some time in the store, and you will set your dealership and the AI up for success by allowing it to learn how your dealership functions and grow from that knowledge.

The output is only as good as how you prepare, set up, practice, collaborate and consider all the details.
Performance, in anything, largely depends on creating the most optimal environment and conditions for success. In all the years of working is design and helping to build resonating, impactful brands, I have always shared with my teams the incredible importance of pre-production. Taking care of all the details, setting everything up for the most effective, beautiful and engaging output.
This too applies to setting ourselves up for our best performance and, while, as it relates to apparel, this has largely been focused on performance wear for athletes and those engaging in an active lifestyle where performance of the apparel is key (gear for extreme weather, gear that allows full movement, gear that allows breathability, moisture-wicking, non-chafing etc), it has not (largely) translated into performance wear for your best, most supported and considered performance as a teacher, a lawyer, a CEO, a business leader, a TV presenter, particularly as a women.
The clothes that women wear for all of these roles and so, so many more, need to be as carefully and thoughtfully designed as the performance wear for a runner, a climber, a dancer - because, setting up for success, the pre-production, of getting dressed each day, should be that thoughtful, that easy and that considered. For the best, strongest and most successful performance possible. behind the desk, at the boardroom table, in the courtroom and in the TV station.

To add to this, don't pick project organizations. Don't pick organizations where you see all these opportunities for change and improvement and how they could operate better if they only knew what you had to bring. Don't do it.
Those places are a quagmire and those running the show absolutely will not appreciate you or your efforts. They will see you as an invader.
Whatever you care about: there are healthier organizations doing similar work.
It is neither your job nor mine to rescue organizations. Few of us are turnaround specialists with the authority to make the healthy changes we see.
It is our job to align our values, desires, skills, and desired energy output with organizations that support those things.
No project organizations. No project companies. No project Boards.
Leaders -
Even if we put a disclaimer that the message is not due a response until Monday or when they return from time-off, expect our team members to respond because (1) they would think that you would not message if it’s not urgent, and (2) they worry about you thinking they’re being unmindful.
Leaving messages ‘in advance’ isn’t a sign of us being efficient, it’s actually the opposite. It’s a lack of respect too to our folks who may want to refuel themselves for the week by focusing on themselves and their dear ones.
Do ourselves a favor and try to relax too on weekends. It’s not bad to pause. We owe it to ourselves too.
