It's been a frustrating 48 hours dealing with ACT Fibernet's subpar service. Despite multiple complaints and unanswered calls, the issue persists. My wife being a remote worker in Bengaluru's IT hub, we prepaid for six months of fiber network, expecting top-notch service from a reputed company. However, the reality has been disappointing. Even the service provided by BSNL in remote islands like Andaman and Nicobar surpasses ACT Fibernet's performance. In this era of AI, it's baffling to encounter such poor customer service and unreliable connectivity. It's evident that a change is necessary, and it wouldn't be surprising if competitors like Airtel or Jio surpass ACT Fibernet soon. ACT FIBERNET

Have you ever noticed this? 🤔😱 Why there are 28 days in Mobile Recharge plans? 🔵 How this Telecom companies make thousand crores profits with 28 days recharge? 🔵 Mobile recharges always have 28-56-84 days plan. But actually it should be 30-60-90 days plan right? 🔵 Telecom companies intentionally deducts 2-3 days from each month. 🔵 So, that with these 2-3 days each month they can make us recharge of extra 13th month at the year end. 🔵 For example :- In India #jio has 41.7 CR active users and their 28 days recharge cost is 299 INR. 299 * 41.7 = 12468.3 CRORE'S 🔵 That means 13th extra month makes JIO approximately a whopping of 12468 CR profitable. 🔵 Hold on TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) has understand this game of Telecomm Comapnies. 🔵 On, 27th January 2022 they imposed a mandatory rule for all Telecom companies to include atleast one complete 30 days recharge in their plans. This is the first in my series on the #Indian #payments industry. This deals with the pre-2015 era when #cash was king, as illustrated by the #telecom scratch card. Telecom scratch cards were introduced in #India in the 1990s as a way to provide prepaid mobile service to customers for cash #transactions. The scratch cards had a code, which could then be entered into the phone to add #credit to the account. However, these cards did not offer any value-added service or benefit to the customer, apart from the basic functionality of making and receiving calls. The product itself, i.e., the airtime or data, was directly transferred from the tower to the phone without any involvement of the card. The card was merely a medium to collect cash from the customer and transfer it to the telecom entity. Therefore, telecom scratch cards in India pre-2015 were essentially a cash-for-airtime transaction with no relation to the product or service quality. They were the only, highly inefficient way to cater to the cash-based economy and the low-income segment of the market.

I am really happy to share the project on the Unified Payment Interface on which I have been working lately under Professor Veerendra Anchan. The Unified Payment Interface (UPI) in India has significantly transformed the country's payment landscape, facilitating a transition towards a cashless society and leveraging smartphones as virtual debit cards. To provide insights into the future, the project employs ARIMA analysis on UPI volume time-series data. This analysis attempts to forecast the volume of UPI payments for the next 12 months. The data, obtained from the National Payments Corporation of India, spans from 2018 August to 2022 June, omitting self-transaction data from 2016 August to 2018 August. The model forecasts a substantial surge in UPI usage for digital transactions and continued growth in the forthcoming year. The findings of this research contribute to a deeper understanding of the evolving landscape of digital payments in India and its implications for consumer behavior, market dynamics, and government policies. #upi #fintech #digitalbanking #npci #digitaltransactions
