There's a misconception many have about event planning and management, they assume it's easily done with minimal time and effort involved, however, the opposite is actually true. Organising an event can take weeks, months and in some cases years. A lot of meticulous planning goes into pre-event management and depending on certain factors, including the type of event and make up of team members, stress levels may rise. If one is lucky enough to be on a team that gels well, with members being accountable and responsible, the process can be enjoyable and stress levels reduced. One recommendation I have is to always keep a checklist. While it's a given that one or two things may slip through the cracks, checklists are paramount for me as they help keep me sane and help track my teams progress and preparedness. #events #eventmanagement #organisation #preparedness
