Lately I’ve been seeing a lot about how a candidate needs to prepare for a job interview. Let's do something different, let's look at what an employer can do to prepare to get the most out of an interview. Conducting an exciting interview process is key to hiring top talent. My key tips are: ✔Creating a precise job description that highlights the key responsibilities and expectations. ✔Share the company’s missions and values to ignite genuine enthusiasm. ✔Provide a clear overview of the interview process. ✔Create insightful interview questions to gauge both skills and cultural fit. ✔Create a warm and welcoming environment. But lastly, the biggest one for me - #activelistening – it’s paramount; give candidates ample space to showcase their potential. A well-prepared and respectful interview experience leaves lasting impressions, nurturing long-term relationships and the bonus is that the candidate will talk positively about you regardless of the outcome. #Rarekind #BeBold #Interview

Preparation is everything when it comes to having a successful job interview. These are our tips for getting ahead before the interview... 1. Do your homework: This means researching the company’s history, its values and, if possible, its future plans. It will help you look keen and well-prepared to the interviewer, and will help you ascertain the company's fit for you. 2. Find out who the interview is with; it makes a big difference whether your interview is with the HR manager or your prospective line manager – or even someone higher in the pecking order. 3. Prepare questions to ask when the interviewer asks "Do you have any questions for us?" See our previous posts for some ideas here! 4. Write out some answers to some frequently asked interview questions and rehearse them ahead of time. This will help you look and feel more confident. eg What do you know about our company? Maybe recruiters could do a better job of trying to find the meaning behind the question, and have some empathy for why the person is asking. Maybe when employment agencies dismiss the questions of job seekers in such a cavalier way, they are failing to do their jobs properly. Constructive feedback for job seekers is invaluable, but this post to me sounds like the hubris of a company that could be doing a little bit better JOB at listening.
