Policybazaar.com, an insurance marketplace focused on India’s middle class, and Paisabazaar, a credit marketplace, both achieved significant growth and profitability in FY24. #PBFintech Overall Business Performance: 🔹 Strong Growth: 37% YoY growth in insurance premium and 34% YoY growth in consolidated revenue. 🔹 Profitability Achieved: Moved from a loss of ₹488 Cr in FY23 to a profit of ₹64 Cr in FY24. Adjusted EBITDA also significantly improved, reaching ₹144 Cr. 🔹 Core Online Business Growth: Revenue doubled and margins went from -9% to +14% in the rolling 12 months ending March 2024. 🔹 New Initiatives Progress: Revenue grew 4.7x in the rolling 12 months ending March 2024, with significant margin improvement and maintained market leadership. Insurance Business Highlights: 🔹 Market Leadership: 93% market share among online aggregators, with ₹20k Cr annual run rate (ARR) of insurance premium in Q4 FY24. 🔹 Health & Life Focus: 39% of new premium came from protection products like health and term insurance. 🔹 Regional Expansion: Expanding reach to tier 2 & 3 cities through regional language campaigns and on-ground sales support in 180+ cities. 🔹 Tech & Customer Focus: Leveraging technology for improved customer experience and partner relations. High customer satisfaction (CSAT) of 89% in Q4 FY24. 🔹 Claims Support: Providing on-ground claims support with a TAT of 30 mins in 117 cities, resulting in improved claims settlement ratios for partners. Credit Business Highlights: 🔹 Market Reach: ~8% of credit enquiries in India happen on Paisabazaar. 🔹 Customer Base: 4.34 Cr consumers accessed their free credit score on the platform, representing over 15% of India’s active credit score users. 🔹 Disbursals & Issuance: ₹14.8k Cr in loan disbursals and 5.8 Lacs credit card issuances in FY24. 🔹 Profitability: First full year of adjusted EBITDA positive with ~10% margin. 🔹 Technology Focus: 75%+ of cards issued in Q4 FY24 were through end-to-end (E2E) digital processes. 🔹 Co-created Products: More than 25% of disbursals and ~50% of credit cards come from co-created products with partners. 🔹 Focus on Secured Loans: Expanding into the large and growing secured loan market.
