Because October 2024 has been our busiest month at Ansley Corporate Entertainment since December 2020! Your 📜Stack of Receipts📜 tends to build over time. ...Which is exactly why you have to hold space to reflect. ...Because 21 events this month didn't all come at once. Instead, they trickled in steadily. Taking time to appreciate all that you've done also boosts your awareness that - despite not knowing what lies ahead - you have a 💯% success rate leading up to today. Because anything you've faced up to now, you've made it through. And isn't that worth celebrating? 🎉🎉🎉 #keynote #corporateentertainment

Imagine you're at a big fair where everyone can set up their own little shop to sell all sorts of cool and different tools. Now, OpenAI is like the organiser of this fair, and they're making it really easy for people to make their own shops, called "GPTs," where they can sell special tools that are good at doing certain jobs on the computer. These tools aren't hammers or screwdrivers, but they're kind of like helpers for your computer that can do things like write stories or help with homework. And because it's so easy to make these shops, there could be loads and loads of them, more than we can count! But when there are so many shops, it can be hard to find the best one. That's why some people might become like tour guides, helping others find the best tools, and those tour guides become really important. Soon, we might see so many of these computer helper shops that the people who can help us find the best ones will be superstars! So, just like when you're looking for the best game to play, and you find someone who knows all about the games to tell you which one is the best, that's what's going to happen with these GPTs. Cool, right?

We're almost 3 weeks into 2024; how quickly has that time gone?! 😱 But today we acknowledge a very different milestone – specifically, it's been two whole years since the incomparable Luke White joined stickee. 🥳 Luke and his team are primarily responsible for technical updates of new features applied to the comparison side of the business. This can be anything from updated front end features and the integration of new API and updates to security that allows us to make use of new technologies for faster development and site performance. 👨💻👨💻👨💻 Luke also oversaw the technical (coding and database) parts of the new Pets White Label website currently being used by Uswitch. 🐾🐕🐈⬛ And, as it's Awards season, we should mention that Luke was also the recipient of the Above and Beyond Award at our 2023 Recognition and Thanks virtual ceremony – in total, he received three nominations across all four categories! 🏆🏅🥇 Of his time at stickee so far, Luke says: “It’s not only a great place to work, where I have all the tools and opportunity to excel and achieve my maximum potential, but also somewhere where I feel that my team, the management, and the wider company structure genuinely care more about my health and wellbeing than the work I produce on a day-to-day basis." Celebrating the completion of my first 30-day at Causeway today and what a ride it’s been so far! 🤝 I was lucky to meet the entire Mkg team face to face on Day-1 💻 Followed by multiple other Product and GTM intros 🎯 Built Q4 OKRs and baked those into my 30-60-90 roadmap. ✍ Jumped right into delivering some new copy blocks we urgently needed ⚙ Started reviewing processes needing improvement. 🎓 Started a long, but exciting and rewarding journey of learning everything about the Causeway story, our value to customers, our products and our positive impact on the industry. At my 1-month review, I was asked what I liked so far about the role and if it met my initial expectations. I really enjoy the opportunity to interact with so many functions across the business and to be involved in a wide variety of work streams. I feel like my input is valued and interactions are based on trust and respect.  My big tickets are also interesting projects that don’t come across often in a career, another reason to feel motivated and excited about what’s coming next. This is not just me honeymooning my way around your Linkedin feed 😅 The idea is that if you have some time today, take a moment to pause and reflect on what makes you happy at work, what drives you to show up positive or willing to make a difference, and what little wins you can celebrate when looking back into the rear mirror, however small or big they might be. Some gentle introspection might just be what’s needed to connect back to the essential of (professional) happiness. And a good way to end the week too. Happy Friday!

About 6 weeks of travel culminated this week in NYC. Was this pastrami sandwich the best part? Certainly up there :) Napa Valley for GTMfund LP retreat ✈️ DC to hang with some family and friends. ✈️ Back to ATL to host 25 CMO's and VP's with Casey + Nicole for the 2nd YouShouldEatWith din din. ✈️ Straight to upstate NY to celebrate my parents anniversary. ✈️ Nashville for Pavilion GTM 2023 ✈️ NYC for Advertising Week / Tech Week and a GTM Fund Dinner. Also got to hang with Alan + Marianna (or Team Magee as I call them). Tired and potentially sick, but glad I did it all. And, they're all write offs, so, like...free, ya know? I will leave with 3 takeaways... 1) There is no place more inconvenient than NYC but there's no place with that kind of energy. Coffee in Madison Square Park the last couple days, watching the city move around me felt like a rom com. Main character energy for the kids out there. 2) Relationships are the only thing that matter. Everything else is secondary. Build real, strong, relationships. Watch what happens. Think long term about those relationships too. 3) Nothing makes me more grumpy and enraged than watching people run down the aisle of a plane to skip a few rows, the second the plane lands. They belong in prison.

Shout out to Deel, ya’ll. Not just for being an incredible growth story and how far the company has come (and in such a small amount of time!), but for hosting a great virtual Happy Hour this past week and let me tell you – I’m fired up for them. They’ve built an amazing platform of products that all companies absolutely need (can you say HUGE addressable market?!), but what stood out to me personally even more was the incredible culture they’ve created and the amount of transparency they shared around this during the session. Major props to Chris Lee, Delaney White, Mike Gallardo and Chelsea Taylor-Seiferth for hosting – I’ll speak for everyone and say I’ll have whatever ya'll are drinking because your enthusiasm throughout the presentation was infectious. Deel wants their people to grab the keys, put the car in drive, and go go go. Everyone at Deel has the actual ability to propel the company forward. Not at Corolla speeds either, we’re talking Ferrari miles-per-hour aka moving incredibly fast at what they call “Deel Speed.” And in a world where it’s so easy to want to just win big deals, everyone at Deel hates to lose more than anything – doesn’t matter if it’s an SMB deal or Enterprise, their attitude that losing sucks makes me want to lace up and downright ball out. Well done Deel, it was an hour very well spent and I learned a lot. 🙌🏾 🙌🏾
