Happy Saturday evening LinkedIn Network !
Canada Goose has not only punched a hole in the outerwear market it literally paved the way for other brands.
Moncler , Moose Knuckles Canada , Parajumpers etc. They have all profited from what Goose has forged both in the sporting goods & fashion apparel industry.
This pathway is ingrained into every luxury retailer around the world.
However, once you become a public company and the pockets are deep and unlimited you become complicit and more importantly boldened by your status.
Canada Goose stock is down by almost 80% from the initial IPO !
Investors are demanding change and new objectives.
With that said, this new initiative is commendable and compelling going into their boutiques by taking the time to listen to their customers.
However, this should of been addressed several years ago when vision was been diluted by share price and meeting quarterly expectations.
Furthermore, the competition grew where Goose was becoming distracted and thinking about bolstering their share price.
Is this a solution to resolving their initial concerns, the answer is Yes !!!
but this will be a long road to success and regaining their focus.
The customer is KING, and has the most advanced technology in the history of the world in the palm of their hands courtesy of AppleSamsung ElectronicsGoogle etc.
Canada Goose needs to step up and dive deep into their core DNA, and make the world understand they were King before and can become King again if they apply more sweat and hard work and inject some fashion into a sporting goods brand !
Moncler is currently the 800 lbs gorilla on top of the Mountain, and he will not give up and inch to a Polar Bear from Canada 🇨🇦 !
Stay tuned …..
