Senior Director, Diversity in Clinical Trials at Johnson & Johnson | 2024 British Diversity Awards Highly Commended in 'Hero of the Year' Category | Micro:bit Educational Foundation Board | Slough CVS Trustee
In my humble opinion, awards are less about celebrating individual achievements and more about celebrating our collective movement towards progress. At this moment in time when DEI efforts are stifled or under attack, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion awards recognise those putting their neck above the parapet and displaying courage, by taking personal risks and challenging views held by those in positions of power. Where calling for humanity has become controversial, awards provide ammunition against powerful forces to say “Look, the world recognises the right thing to do”. It offers a stronger platform to the awardees to push for systemic changes. So, I am delighted to be shortlisted in the @BootsUK Hero of the Year category at @britDiversity Awards 2024. Find the full shortlist at https://lnkd.in/eQ4f33Ym The BDA celebrates individuals, organisations and unsung heroes who help to make the world and the workplace a better place for others. Honoured to be listed alongside many of my heroes. I take this opportunity to ask for us to put humanity first and call for a #ceasefire in Gaza now. 30,000 Palestinians killed since October 2023, over a third are children. This is a small example of helping to make the world a better place by speaking up against a genocide and calling for the world to wake up to islamophobia, antisemitism, and racism. If you want to do more, see comments below. Please feel free to add more resources. #BDA24 #BritishDiversityAwards #equitymatters

High casualty rate among Ethiopian-Israeli🇪🇹🇮🇱 soldiers, with six fatalities so far in the war. - Around 170,000 Ethiopians live in Israel, making up 1.8% of the country's population, yet the casualty rate among Ethiopians (both dead and wounded) stands at 3.5%, double the proportion of Ethiopians in Israeli society. - Ethiopians have a high representation in commando units, with 10 out of 120 specially distinguished soldiers this year coming from that community. -Ethiopians are incredible soldiers, self-sacrificing, resilient, fearless, and willing to face the greatest risks.

Highlighting the service and sacrifice of diverse communities is crucial. Did you know that African Caribbean soldiers served to protect the UK in WW1? Or that soldiers came from the Sikh and Muslim communities? In the upcoming months, I will share inspiring stories of bravery from these men and women. Let's honour their service and sacrifice together. #DiversityMatters #MilitaryHistory #UKHistory #blackhistory365 #windrush75

1ummah | 1army | 1leadership The muslim ummah needs a direction. We are in millions, many of us are being wasted. Agenda 1)We organise & raise an army of muslims young and old. Numbers will matter. Our strength will depend on it. 2) Start off with fund raising and aid call to help the survivors 3) Launch an ansar/muhajir movement to encourage mothers & families of muslim ummah to adopt palestinian children 4) Train the volunteers in modern combat 5) Break the Colonial system, & force our Governments to join or step down. 6) Invite other scattered muslim armies to join and be 1army 7) Call for Jihaad against the Kaafir Zionist Call out to all muslim leadership, all of muslim ummah for the love of Aqsa for the love of our muslim brothers, sisters, our children. For whats to come is even worse. Hard times are ahead of us. We will not die a meaningless death, we will rather fight for Aqsa, for our brothers and sisters, mothers & children, for our izzat, for Islam, for Allah!!! The urgency of the situation is calling for a muslim resistance to rise, lead the ummah on a macro level. No boundaries, no borders should stop us. We need to combat the challenges this zionists system has laid down. Ay muslamano, these are your mothers, your brothers & sisters, your children being killed, raped, burnt & tortured... Where is your Ghairat??? Your self respect??? Your Emaan??? There must be a cause to your existence???? If our leadership is dead & wasted, may Allah send down the army of Angels, may Allah send Mahdi, may Allah destory and replace our leadership with those of faith and emaan, those who will resist and defend Aqsa with their lives. 1ummah | 1army | 1leadership #Gaza #standwithpalestine

Must do better to stop this.
This year marks 126 years since women of Al-Matama in Sudan tied themselves together and plunged into the River Nile to escape the humiliation of rape. To: THE PUREST PEOPLE ON EARTH Location: GAZA, PALESTINE Yes we are deeply saddened by the loss of around 400-600 innocent lives every day, but being on the right side, not the side of oppression, we are truly grateful to God. As captured on live TV, this famous reporter on Aljazeera channel “Mr. Wael Al- Dahdouh” stood strong without shedding tears despite the fact he lost his WIFE and two CHILDREN; this arises from the belief that the sacrifices are worthwhile for the liberation of PALESTINE. People in Gaza are considered the purest on earth and definitely deserving of a life free from oppression. The loss of those souls will not be gone like this, every day is closer to FREE PALESTINE. We are committed to rebuilding it to its former glory, similar to the time before the 1948 occupation, or perhaps even better, with a strong focus on upholding the highest human rights standards unlike the Israel government and military forces agenda.

He became its leader in 1943, guiding the organization until its dissolution in 1948. Menachem Begin: Early Years: Begin, born in 1913, joined the Betar movement during his youth, fostering his commitment to Revisionist Zionist ideals.
