How can you best prepare for Amazon Prime Days? If you've participated in Prime Days before, the key step is to revisit the data and your observations from past events to see what worked and didn't work for your brand in your markets. For sellers that participate in multiple markets, it's important to evaluate the possible differences in the markets. Armed with this data, you can fine-tune your marketing strategy and budget. Get organised with spreadsheets that allow you to check and double-check your content, inventory, competition, pricing history, keywords, and so on. Advertising early with the help of a Deals subpage on your storefront will keep your brand and products in the minds of shoppers planning how they will spend their budgets during the event itself. For those who are participating in Prime Days for the first time, know that typically an advertising budget during Prime Days is 10x the normal daily budget. Knowing this should help you set a budget for the Prime Days event. Know which of your products you will promote during Prime Days, and which deals you will apply to them. Make sure there's enough inventory! This needs to be done ahead of time. Check and double check your product listing pages, storefronts, PPC ads and keywords. Are they all optimised? What is the busiest day of the week on Amazon? Adadvance published a report on weekday shopping patterns on Amazon based on 147 million clicks. Details are as follows: Sunday ➡ Highest traffic and lowest average conversion rates. → Shoppers are browsing a lot but do not intend to purchase. → You can consider launching your new products on this day. Monday ➡ The best day overall: the highest traffic and conversion rates. → You should increase your ad campaigns' bids and budgets. Tuesday ➡ Good traffic + conversion. → Shoppers are still looking around and highly intent on purchasing. → You should increase your bids to help secure sales. Wednesday ➡ Good traffic + conversion. Thursday ➡ Declined traffic + average conversion. Friday ➡ Low traffic + good conversion. → Shoppers are more intentional with their purchases and likely know exactly what they want. Saturday ➡ Low traffic + Low conversion rates. → You should cut your bids/budgets due to lower buyer intent. Of course, this data is for reference only.
