Today, NACD released the "2023 Report of the NACD Blue Ribbon Commission: Culture as the Foundation: Building a High-Performing Board". The report is our latest work in making boards a stronger strategic asset to their companies. This year we focused on shaping an intentional board culture that is responsive to change and resilient during crises. The 2023 NACD Blue Ribbon Commission was led by distinguished cochairs Oscar Munoz and Mary Winston and an experienced collective of 24 directors who serve on more than 70 boards in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. The Commission closely examined the critical but nuanced role of board culture in driving board performance. The result is a report of key recommended actions and practical tools boards can use and tailor, recognizing that no board culture is the same. Is AARP aware of a practice of AARP The Hartford to charge higher premiums on home and car insurance under unproved and false claims of "factors from your credit report"? Upon examination of my credit report, none of the false claims included in my policy report were true. The resulting conversation with AARP The Hartford concluded with a reimbursement check from overcharged premium totaling over three thousand dollars. The updated reduced policy was issued with the same Notice Regarding Use of Consumer Reports: "The following factors from your credit report had the most significant influence on your insurance scores: Lost or stolen credit cards Presence of past late payments Number of auto loans currently open Number of real estate loans ever opened By improving the above factors, you can strengthen your insurance score, which can result in lower insurance premiums in the future." NONE of the four factors are true, they are not on my credit report from Trans Union. Trans Union is the agency that AARP The Hartford claims issued the report. Is this the AARP's definition of protecting older adults to help reduce poverty and financial hardship?
