It's been an exhilarating 4 weeks of learning, connecting and impact making. The depth of knowledge, visionary outlook, and unwavering support from the exceptional team at Cint have truly ignited my enthusiasm! Thank you Karine Parsy, Harvey Tran, Vanessa Adams, Nora H., Sunny Tran, Vivek Singh Scarlett H. and all brilliant Cint people. Another highlight is the the #hic2023 2023 Human Insights Conference and the #GDQ Global Data Quality webinar, nothing short of enlightening. In our dynamic industry, brands embark on a mission to forge both immediate and enduring growth, highly relying on data and research technology for efficiency. Call for all brands and research practitioners to pay more attention to your data source and think of ways to improve your insights gathering efficiency. What I've also heard is that the potential of AI is boundless but (again) double-edged sword: from harnessing chatGPT for nuanced responses and deploying cloud-based MMM to leveraging trained models for incisive creative testing, the opportunities are staggering. Yet, it is equally imperative to grapple with challenges such as bot-generated responses and safeguarding against fraudulent activities. Remember when Chrishell rang the sales bell so hard so that she broke it!?!? Now that is someone properly celebrating a sales win! For those of you who have no idea what I am talking about, Chrishell is one of the Real Estate Agents selling very “affordable” properties on the hit Netflix reality TV show “Selling Sunset” 🏡💼 Whilst this is predominantly in the name of entertainment, having a sales bell is a real thing! In fact, we used to have a sales bell when I was working as a sales leader, and we loved it! Every time a deal was closed, the sales rep would ring the bell at the office. Admittedly, it wasn’t as big as the bell at the Oppenheim Group, but it still made a mighty sound through the office, indicating to everyone in earshot that we had closed another deal. As we rang the bell, we could hear distant cheers from the other departments celebrating in the victory and joining in the fun! It's not just a bell; it's a symbol of triumph, hard work paying off, and goals being met. 🎉 So, why should we bring this spirit into our own professional lives? 1️⃣ Acknowledge Achievements: Celebrating your successes is about recognising your hard work and dedication. It's a reminder of the milestones you've conquered on your journey. 2️⃣ Team Morale Boost: The joy of one is the joy of all! STORY TIME from an elder-millennial in sales ���� Born-and-bred in Silicon Valley, I earned $10 commission “spiffs” at 19 and facilitated $2 mil deals with #telecom companies at 26. My first job was selling $100 BIRKENSTOCK sandals when I was 16 (who I hear is heading toward #IPO). I moved on and sold $800 suits at Hugo Boss. The same year, I landed my first job in #software sales! For a time, I worked in reservation sales for a private luxury golf club in the South Bay (CordeValle), booking $25K-$100K weekends for tech’s biggest golf enthusiasts and your favorite Bay Area sports teams. I was challenged at all of them; I had fun at all of them. With over 20 years in the sales game, I have this to share with you: It's easy to get caught up in the allure of those 7-figure deals, but don’t forget the power of smaller wins. Here's why diversifying your "portfolio" is crucial: - Stability: Smaller deals add up and provide a steady income stream, creating financial stability even during quieter periods. - Customer Relationships: Building strong connections with SMB clients often leads to long-term partnerships and referrals. - Skill Growth: Handling a variety of deals sharpens your sales skills, making you a more adaptable and versatile #salesperson. - Pipeline Health: A well-balanced sales #pipeline with different deal sizes reduces the risk of over-reliance on any single client.
